If you go to 12:19:33, you can see the anchor from Wilson started the fight.

1. He pushes Central's anchor.

2. Central's teammate pushes back at Wilson's anchor.

3. Wilson's teammate comes flying in and pushes central's teammate.

4. brawl starts.

From the video a minute earlier, it is not clear if there is any obstruction. Honestly the Wilson guy could have tripped over his own feet. For argument's sake, let's say the Central guy definitively obstructed him, it did not look intentional.

Nothing that happened warranted this escalation of violence from the Wilson runner.

I can understand why the central boys got involved because they saw their teammate was being "attacked", and then I also understand Wilson's other teammates getting involved when they see their anchor getting "attacked".

It should have stopped when others tried to break it up. The fact that they continued puts them all in the wrong, but the worst aggressor in my opinion, is the Wilson anchor.

This is what happens when you let todays youth witness Will Smith b*tch slap Chris Rock on national television with little to no consequence. Will Smith needs to be canceled.

Looked like they tangled arms as Central passed, which threw off the Wilson kid’s stride and then he went down.

You missed the coach who pushed them apart and received a given a chest bump, evidently for pushing too hard. That coach (official?) definitely pushed one guy harder. Does anyone know is that non-runner person was an official or a coach. If it was an official it was likely an accident, unless that guy was verbally escalating the situation. If it was the other team's coach pushing that guy harder that might be another matter.

In potential fight situations the solution is not to push. Put your arms around them. Out yourself between them. Pushing encourages a retaliation.
