This. In time you will see it. For now try to avoid drinking and other things that make you feel worse instead of better. Don't be pitiful, be pissed. Throw your self into activities that improve you: reading, studying something new, weight lifting, new projects at home or work or in the community. Maybe you didn't have time before because you were doing things she wanted to do, or thought she wouldn't like whatever you want to do. Well, those excuses are gone now, man. In three months you will feel like and be a better and more interesting man.
