Katelyn Tuohy 5000m Prediction - What will her 5000 pb at the end of the season?

Tuohy ran 15:30 on fartlek race, so a 15:15 is definitely in her range for sure. Tuohy has shocked me with her development lately. Coach Laurie has done well developing her runners and getting them on another level. I was skeptical of Tuohy running a fast 5k last year, but now she looks so strong and so controlled when she runs. I'm excited to see her progress.

im a kt fan and 15:13 is sketchy ... a well-rested tuohy with good race conditions, and fast line-up would result to a sub 15:20 at best

Anyway would rather see her keep working on the kick, and keep winning, getting better tactically... Then just time trialing... Beating Meyers is good... Meyers 404 1500m pr... i was talking about last years outdoors for wayment, she had 15:17 pb top 9 in the all-time list

so true, shes on the right track .. progressing very very well

also, you can't chase fast times and jeopardize winning a championship, ncaa regionals and championships are so tactical, you have to be well-prepared of whatever it throws at you

also, is it just me or distance runners rarely get pbs at outdoor nationals??

the fast times usually come in the middle of the season, like orton, wayment and henes' fast times were in the middle of the outdoor season and the nationals is just pure tactical

Runners run fast times to qualify for nationals.

Pacers are not uncommon during these races.

There are no pacers at nationals and winning the race is all that matters

Tuohy would have blown the doors off Natalie Cook at the Stanford Invitational.

Like 14:30? That's blowing the door off of a 15:25. But Tuohy hasn't even run 15:25 so your statement sounds ridiculous. Slower runners don't blow the doors off of faster runners. You aren't making sense.

Tuohy is slower than Cook. That is a fact that you can't seem to grasp. Were you a runner? Imagine some runner with a slower time than you telling the world that they would blow your doors off?

He'll just keep responding with the same tired stuff about one fast race... Yeah when you only Run once a season it's kind of a little bit easier to run fast... Don't get me wrong I think cook is a good runner but everyone said Hutchins is going to blow everyone's doors off too so...

tuohy's pb in hs 4:33 in the mile just proves her raw speed

now that she has found the right program and had a full year of build up we are now finally seeing results and amazing progress, the finishing speed improvement is really what gets me excited

also shes super happy at nc state, shes always excited to train with her teammates, i think that is so important too

Where are Dudeck and Hutchins? Haven’t seen any results from either of them.
