Not if she red shirts and stays in school longer.....it all depends....
There is the redshirt, the medical redshirt, the little mormon mission two year exemption, the special byu exemption, the secret byu exemption. It all adds up until you get into mantzian-like numbers.
Top 10 women NCAA XC championships and their age in November:
Whittni Orton, 24 (Sr.)
Mercy Chelangat, 24 (Jr.)
Ceili McCabe, 20 (So.)
Caili Logue, 22 (Sr.) (now 23, so presumably 5th college XC season)
Taylor Roe, 21 (Jr.)
Kelsey Chmiel, 20 (So.)
Bethany Hasz, 24 (Sr.)
Abby Nichols, 2016 HSgrad (Sr.), age not listed on worldathletics.org, but this was her 6th XC season
Maddy Denner, 2018 HS grad, listed as a sophomore at XC
Kayley DeLay, 2017 HS grad, so 5th year senior at XC
We can look at the men another time. Some teasers... Chioko, who got 3rd, was 26 at XC championships and has since turned 27 (is the term supra-mantzian?) Nur, who got 7th, was listed as a sophomore on the results as a 2017 HS grad and is now 24.
I don't know how much watch college sports you watch, but there are quite a few athletes that are older than the age of 21, and coincidentally, a lot of them don't go to BYU or go on "little missions". Generally, we like to get mad at BYU on this board anytime their school is mentioned in any context because of a perceived age advantage. But, it seems that it's not just BYU with "older" athletes...

No, people on here are just bigots who for some reason hate Mormons. EVERY single time a thread is started that in any way relates to BYU the bigot trolls jump all over it. Contrary to what some people try to claim, there is not much bigotry on this message board. But it rears its ugly head when BYU is the topic.

Bigotry is denying the same services to someone based on some characteristic about them
Pointing out that a belief system is riddled with inconsistencies and illogical assertions is necessary an appropriate
They have the freedom to believe in what they want, and others have the freedom to question those beliefs... And humor is a necessary part of that questioning
That isn't what happens. People make fun of them for going on mission trips. They complain that they are older than other runners. Every runner can take a mission trip so it is actually the posters who are inconsistent and incorrect.
why is no one talking about jenna hutchins running a decent 5000m in this thread? and all are just age and religion arguments
Because if the three letters, B-Y-U appear in that order on LetsRun, this happens no matter what the topic is. I'm guilty of contributing since I like to point out that the age argument isn't as good of an argument as people think it is if you look at the ages of athletes at other universities. Of course, the age argument comes with bashing on a specific religion, which apparently is within the message board rules??
All this said, I am interested to see what Hutchins can do in Coach Taylor's system. Guessing we'll have to wait until next year to see.

Except honest questions are not usually asked nor is humor used, just ugly comments usually.

I think half the negative posts are by the ever changing anonymous poster that uses the terms "little missions" and "clown school". If searched, I bet those terms have been used a hundred times.

Yeah, that's a likely possibility.... The age related humor cracks me up sometimes, but the disparaging comments and lies about the Mormon people and their faith is disturbing.
