The fridge was fast as hell. Who else weighing 350 pounds could run 10.4 for the 100?
Unfortunately he’s now about 450 and is confined to a wheelchair…
Why not take a few seconds (that took about 5 seconds) and get this stuff right, ok my man?
Wiki
He attended Aiken High School and played as a 295-pound nose guard on the school's football team and ran on its track team. During an exercise in which his coach instructed all of his fastest players to line up for a 100-yard dash, Perry joined the group of running backs, wide receivers and defensive backs and eventually was timed as the 6th fastest runner on the entire team, with a time of 11 seconds flat. He was also able to run the 100 meters in under 12 seconds, and competed in the shot put event, recording a top-throw of 16.44 m (53 ft 11 in).[7] He could also execute 360-degree dunks on regulation basketball hoops and perform a complicated dive into the swimming pool.[6]
Now ya know how fast he really was. When he was around 300ish he was a 11 100yard, 12100m. Obviously as he got bigger he got slower.
Lol. And immediately goes to running back. Now why in the world would this guy want to go to the NFL?? Especially being that he's from S. Africa. Why wouldn't he go for rugby?
Why wouldn't he go for NHL if he's going to go overseas? Much more exciting game, and much closer to soccer which South Africans play also..
Anyway, best running back is McCaffrey who is only 5'11". How do you see a 6'4" guy being a star running back? Those guys prance around more instead of being straight up explosive power.
A guy with that size/speed combo, yep.....running back. A faster Calvin Hill who was 6-4 I know.....who?
Jonathan Taylor is the best RB in the NFL right now, McCafferty not really close.
No one even knows this taylor guy. Demand for the top player shows in the salaries. There is a reason why McCaffrey is the highest paid running back and this guy is not even in the top 10. You're right. It's not even close.

Jonathan Taylor has gained 1000 yards at least his last three high school seasons, every season at Wisconsin and every NFL season. This guy is special, and ig ya knew the game you'd know this.
Ryan Bailey was 6’4 and 242 while running 9.88 in 2012.
Hmmmm?
Ryan Bailey is an American sprinter. He has personal bests of 9.88 seconds for the 100-meter dash and 20.10 seconds for the 200-meter dash. He ranks among the top ten Americans ever for the shorter distance. Wikipedia Born: April 13, 1989 (age 32 years), Portland, OR Height: 6′ 4″ Weight: 216 lbs*****
Stanford not really known for sprint power. Way back when they had Clyde Jeffreys who did tie the 9.4 WR. Canadian Chuck Francis (yep, that one) was a 10.1 and there was Olympic 200m man Larry Questad. Well here is their new 100m school record holder, check out that start, damn!

Looks like the big guy will have some choices to make...
IN HIS OWN WORDS... "I would have to say Michigan, Penn State, and South Carolina are really the ones that are pushing for me, trying to get me the hardest," Harbor said. "Schools like N.C. State, Ohio State, Rutgers, Maryland, Oregon and everybody else is in this close race, but it's really those top three schools right now that are just pushing really hard to get me. As of right now, I'll probably be making a top 10 later on, probably about the summertime of next year. I want to just enjoy my junior year before I start thinking about that.
Nope! The fridge at 350lbs never ran an electronic timed 10.4 100 meters. Didn't happen. If so, give us a source but you know you can't
As shown above Perry did run a 11 second 100 yarder and a 11,8ish (said sub 12) 100m. Not bad for a 290 pounder which he was then. The guy we saw in the NFL, nay!!!!
John Riggins twice won the Kansas State 100 yards, had a 9.8PR. Also a 22 foot long jumper. I have seen a video of one of those wins, guessing around 190 and ripped, not the 240 pound Diesel.
William Perry, “The Fridge,” was a defensive lineman for the Chicago Bears. Every now and then he came in as a fullback when the Bears were within the 5 yard line of the opponent. He came in as a blocker or to pound the ball in from the 1 or 2 yard line. He was about 6’2” and probably close to 350 lbs. He once ran a 100 in about 10.4ish. That was with electronic timing and out of the blocks. It was a legit time and not a BS hand held time that the football coaches also do when timing 40s.
Can you document that claim that he ran 10.4? Are you talking yards or meters? For what it's worth,

I keep up with this football/track connection pretty tight, I know nothing about Perry ever running anything, so......where can I find that, where did you come up that info?
Brutal, you've been at letsrun from the beginning and you can't spot BS when you see it?
The path from Olympic athlete to NFL star was an unusual one for Christian Okoye, as at the age of 23 he had never played the game of football. NFL Films fol...

Not sure why anyone would BS about the Frig and sprinting, yep, that is a... ?
As far as Okoye goes I have read he did run the 200m to go with the throwing, just guessing he ran the 4x1 which must have been a sight. Have never seen any times for him howver and I have looked, no proof he ran anything.
Obviously Azusa Pacific has some connection to Nigeria, been a flock of Nigerians on the track teams over the years. Innocent Igbunike the most accomplised.
His football story a bit unique and he was a good one. Of course watching guys bounce 10 feet in the air off him in Tecmo Bowl kinda cool.
