If that's the case, then scratch what I said. It's also why people have a tendency to doubt performances at smaller events that are given world class times. If he can really run 6.45 with the top speed he showed in that sprint video, he'd be a legit sub-10 guy this year. If not, then maybe he'll break 10.1 with favorable wind.
S.H.A.R.K.S. trained Mountie athlete runs an incredible sub 10 100m at Arnie Robinson, San Diego Mesa College. They’re notoriously known for well rounded sprinters. However, he took down the long lasting school record!

Didnt this kid win Texas State 6A 100m title last year? Yeah, he was damn fast....the fast Hispanic kid from Texas.
Nope. That's Jose Garcia, who attends UTSA now and has a college best of 10.45.
Lol I literally added his name on top & school. Glad this post is getting the attention it deserves. I was there at the meet & the timing system was a mess all day. From the sprints all the way up to the middle distance events. Like someone said, we’ll just have to wait and see how he performs at his home track this weekend.
The wind was well over 2.0 in this race. Notice the tent popping rapidly at the finish and other wind indicators in the video. He is probably a 10.05 guy under legal conditions at best.
The guy next to him false-starts bad enough it should’ve been called back without mechanical blocks…that being said I have no idea if he did as well. Hope to see him at a bigger meet to see if this is for real.
Looks like he gets a flier, but, its from a long way away, and the sound takes a while as does the smoke.
You can not definitively say its a false start. The other guys may not be brisk out of the blocks.
