I am starting to think the Will Smith Chris Rock thing was fake the reasons are

Was Smith intoxicated? The only times in my life when I’ve sucker punched some guy was when I was intoxicated. it’s actually somewhat of a decent defense or mitigating factor. judges drink too. They know how it is sometimes.

Are we supposed to think that the guy that won this years Oscar for best actor can’t act out a fight scene on national television?

The oscars ratings were abysmal last year and they needed to stir the pot to get people talking about it.

Well, it's not a for sure thing. There is risk of it though. Also, we need to define what that means. Does he get another big-time role in a movie? I think that's the most at risk at this point. Could he get some lesser non-lead roles in movies or some appearances on the small screen? More likely that he could do those things. Not sure if he will want to.

It will be a shame if he suffers NO consequences. Physically attacking a comedian is beyond ridiculous.

I think the course of the rest of his career will be determined by whatever consequences he faces (action by The Academy, if any studio says they won't work with him, etc. I think he also needs to discuss this more and REALLY show contrition. He did a very bad thing, and he needs to beg for forgiveness. I for one will never see another thing he's ever in unless he does that, and even if he does, I still might not. What he did was inexcusable.

What's in it for either of them? Both have as much work as they could possible get, both are extremely wealthy. Just nothing in it for either of them to do this.
