Really hope he gets it. Valencia likely the best chance, London likely a bit too close to worlds if he’s chasing a time.

Rupp's chance for the AR is long gone.
He will not "pop" a 2:05 any day now.
Rupp hasn’t done anything in the last year to suggest he’s anywhere close the the kind of shape needed to target the AR anytime soon.
Honestly, his results haven’t been stellar. Add to that he couldn’t even make it to 10k in the NYC half today…

I'm a big fan of Rupp, but he is hard to follow. Most likely, we won't hear anything about what led to the drop, at least not for months.
I think it will be a good battle with Kipruto and he will PR today.
Any good internet streams I can watch?
Much appreciated.

Race is over. Think he DNF’d.

Thank you for this.
I know the "if the furnace is hot enough anything will burn" line is in Once A Runner but does anyone know if it has any earlier source?

He waited all year for this and he didn’t even know when the race was lmao.
Rupp didn’t even make it 5 miles into the race before chickening out.

This is a really good interview with a lot of solid information.
