I like how nobody talks about Nick Plant, reigning national champ, beat Cade at nationals last year, and has been running great in Ohio with little competition.
Was told Nick wanted to run the Mile at NB but there was a registration issue so he was forced to run the 800 at Nike.
That is not correct. If Nick Plant wanted to compete at NBN he would have been welcomed with open arms and travel expenses and hotel provided for him and his coach/guardian.
All the newbary park fan boys upset because their golden boy got beat. Smh

Raced against Plant at Spire this season. Good runner, would have loved to see him go against Cade.

What is the big deal? Flatt is clearly super fast in his specialty at his age, and he's mouthing off about beating a Miler/5K legend in the 800m (who was running that race as a throwaway test). Will see how the dude fares going forward...Will Sumner this summer awaits...
He’s not like trying to fight runners after the race, he’s talking as much shi*t as good high school athletes in most sports do. I think this kind of attitude in a talented American runner will take him places. Stepping up to an Olympic final in 2 or 6 years the kid should be saying he can beat anyone in the world and fight like he believes it. Seems like a lot of American pros just seem to accept that there are people out there better than them
No NP fan here, but if Cade really had balls he'd back his yapping up by arranging to race NP's best guys this year at 1500 and 3000, as well. It is unlikely he would be even remotely competitive. Cade's got no range.
Cade's the man, he's never claimed to be a miler or anything else. He's focused on the 800m and said he wants the outdoor record. Also, he says he literally has been running "10 or 11 miles" a week, explaining why he said he was severely undertrained.

Anyone who didn’t like that interview is a loser or boomer. He’s confident in himself, and being a Kentucky boy makes fun of the CA boys. It’s all fitting and entertaining.
Plus, it’s not like he’s a scrub. I’d be surprised if he runs the nr outdoors but like when people state their goals/intentions. Let him be.
