I've seen it more than once on NBC networks. I guess they must not be part of the liberal media you right wing conspiracy nutcases keep talking about.
Anything the right wingers say you should just nod and pat their heads. They are inferior to me, yet they try so hard to be smart. You just have to accept they are inferior human beings and should be treated as such. Basically treat them with pity like we do kids with Down syndrome. Clap and applaud every little thing they do. It really means a lot to them because they put forth so much effort. When they say the election was stolen, don’t bring up the 1,000s of court cases (even the 6-3 conservative majority Supreme Court) that found no fraud, don’t bring up the 100s of recounts that found Biden actually received more votes, and don’t bring up the right wing funded Arizona recount that found Biden received more votes and Trump less votes than were credited. Just agree with them and let them live in peace. They really do need it. It’s hard for us to fathom being so inferior. So we just need to have empathy and pity them for being so inferior.

You can still seek help. Poor, incel, and stupid is no way to live life.
Ah yes, leftist superiority complexes. I suppose your interpretation of leftist philosophy is the only true one, and everyone else is either "on the road to awakeneing" or "too radical to get anything done with." I would ask, how recently have you changed any of the core components of your worldview? Further, why do you think that core component change is valuable?
What goes through the mind of a person like this? I'm not in favor of or defending cops in general, but everybody realizes that they are the only ones *allowed* to shoot, detain, harass, arrest, or kill you. An encounter with a cop is the most dangerous person-to-person encounter that regularly happens.
She thought what? I'll just cruise through, they'll never notice? My POS Toyota Camry can outrun them? I'll teach these pedestrians a lesson, because this is my road?
Sadly in America not being allowed to drive is tantamount to not being allowed to work, such is the reliance on the automobile. She'll be back on the road before the cop is out of the hospital.
Have you ever had any real encounters with cops? I've been arrested and it was not in anyway dangerous. If it wasn't for cops we would all be screwed bud. Some are dicks but a lot of them are decent induvials.

amazing bravery. this just gave me chills and I’m so thankful for her brave action. Watching at full speed it’s tough to watch… I’m praying for full recovery. she saved many lives. A million times thank you!!!!
I despise being sober, and I have not had a molecule of THC enter my body for 96 hours. My mind hurts, and has been provided a level of clarity it hasn't experienced in years.
In all seriousness, it would've never been an issue if runners weren't on roads. I know a few people who have been disjointedly trying to quantify the excess emissions caused by road redirections due to races in order to show how damaging ALL of the 5ks as a sum effort have been. Especially in a location like this which is a primary thoroughfare? You gotta be kidding me, this is a terrible idea.
They should've never been on the road, the cop shouldn't have had to have been there. Bottom line up front: improving your health effectively does not require racing. In fact, racing is probably counterintuitive to health once you start looking at the poor liver health of most older elite runners (something that has less to do with alcohol-derived scarring, and more declining inefficiency due to the years of extremely high use in metabolic processes).
Health, for most of the population, is unattainable. This is due to myriad failures at the system and individual level: go ahead and source food without plastics period at any socioeconomic level, et tu include the myriad personal failures we all partake in on a regular basis - the "I'll just push the workout to the weekend" complacency you let yourself get away with. This is barely material to the blame I'm placing on everyone involved in this situation, so: you've gotta put in effort to take care of your body because what you put in it won't, as much as you won't take care of yourself.
Well, I gotta do something, you say...gee I guess I'll set a tangible goal, and shoot for that! Great. Why do you require the presence of others? Validation? Are you that stochastically and ontologically weak in your own dogma? Do you think so little of yourself that the mere act of jogging - and I'm not talking about championship runners, I'm talking about the yokels in that video - has to be spectated just to make sure you can live past your first heart attack to say your goodbyes?
What's the desired end state of your fitness, really? What are you holding out for? Someone tell me there were two olympians at that race, and I'll hold my tongue - because then it's a scientific test of two peaking human bodies. I would also love to know how many first timers there were at the race. Over 40% and I'll retract my remarks, because then it would be a valuable exploratory test of them as people.
SCENERY? TOURISM? What utter vanity and narcissism. Those who vacation to race - I would love to know at which parts of your life you are a supporting character. Further? Walk. If you're going to take in the scenery, do it at a pace where you can appreciate it. If you don't have that much time - WHY ARE YOU INVOLVING YOURSELF IN A COLLECTIVELY ADVERSARIAL TEST? I dare someone to call my phone and say that they would turn down an award if it were offered to them because they didn't deserve it. [Brojos- if you want to play journalist, there's a West Point Graduate who served as an HHC executive officer who can attest to the fact that I hold myself to the principles above regarding awards].
You utter swine can't help but waddle down the freeway and act as meatbait for the grinder of what, some random lunatic behind the wheel of a car? Plenty of people drive cars. Plenty of schizophrenics who are unmedicated, plenty of PTSD patients with anger management problems, there are a ton of reasons why someone detached from reality would drive their car at a soft, fleshy target like this. The cop was put in a position to waste resources, her life, and the like; for what? Your vanity project? I get why she looks pissed on that video. I hope I never have to be the guy in that situation, because I'd rather lose my job than my life. I've been that guy, too, on a few occasions. Never for runners. I'm glad my morals weren't conflicted in those moments and I was able to act with a clear mind, heart, and conscience.
Someone tell me these hobby races are worth wasting a cop's life over. Someone tell me THIS hobby race was worth wasting a cop's life over. Every person who guards a road at a race is now - TANGIBLY - in a position to risk their life for your hobby. This sport at its best is art. Most people aren't supposed to do that. Running shouldn't be popular, it should die. Thankfully this cop didn't have to.
Final note? If you're slow (being extremely generous for the geris, over an hour for a 10k), within the logic I've presented, you create a greater risk burden. I'd be happy to do the due diligence to prove this mathematically and beyond a shadow of a doubt as well.

I'm looking forward to exploring the athletic talent and necessity of competition for....*checks notes* a 60-year-old woman and some ragnar-er that fell off the pack in the middle of the night. Because no one who has ever done a ragnar has had eyes bigger than their stomachs.
