You're conflating the argument. No one is saying that men's and women's divisions should be merged, nor is the inclusion of trans women in cis women's sports a merging of division. You're making a fake argument and defeating it to try to prove yourself right.

Only 2 non east african born athletes have medaled in the 10000m since 1992 in the OG. Only 4 in the 5000. only 5 in the steeplechase

You are also misunderstanding the supershoe argument, it's not about the money or accessibility. It's about confusing advantage for hard work

They are inherently unequal. Womens sports have less funding, less viewership, and are held in lower regard in the public eye. Women athletes aren't paid anywhere near as much as men.

They don't decide it just like straight people don't decide they are straight. It just is how it is. There are studies that have shown the brain of a trans woman is more alike to a cis woman a cis man.

This isn't just make believe non sense. I dont know why in the world you think people would just make up they are a different gender, especially considering the statistics on how worse off trans people are on average than cis people.

Only read your first sentence, but I'm pretty sure the formation of a women's category in athletics initially had a lot to do with biological fairness.

The swim coaches at Penn list their pronouns on their profile, although they are cisgender. That shows you what kind of place their program is. They are cowards. They should be putting it out there andac working the consequences that come. People took real actual brave stances during the civil Rights movement with the potential of great loss to themselves. That's what it takes. Not being afraid of not being allowed to swim so you don't stand up for what you think is right.

If you're not willing to absorb negative consequences for your stance it really isn't that important of a stance for you.

What I don’t get about this debate is why there needs to be one single answer that fits all situations. In sports, and in much of life, there is a tension between inclusion and competition. In certain situations it seems rules and policies that favor inclusiveness should clearly prevail and in others the balance should be in favor of competitive “fairness.” In youth sports the benefits of inclusion far outweigh the downsides. In elite professional sports involving adults, the balance is flipped. An obvious place to draw the line would be with D1 college sports because there’s money (scholarships) on the line and we are dealing with at least young adults. In HS young people are particularly vulnerable to exclusion and I think inclusion should prevail and simple gender identification should rule the day. Yes, it’s possible that this young woman would be deprived winning a state or national championship, but she would suffer no material harm if the trans woman athlete who beats her in HS would not be eligible to compete on the women’s team at Arkansas and take her scholarship spot. All of our policies should be about maximizing the good and minimizing the harm, and this varies by circumstance.

Then you do admit to biological differences between men and women, correct?

Is it unequal that less people are interested in women's sports then men's (i.e. less viewership)? Of course, under a pure definition of things being equal as might be measured by a scale. Is it wrong, criminal, or otherwise actionable? No. Life is not equal, nor equitable. Not all discrimination is illegal or immoral. Everybody discriminates against something. Some people discriminate with respect to what sports they like to watch. I suppose reeducation camps could be constructed where brutish men would be interned and forced to watch women's sports.

But transgender athletes are able to compete against her in college and take her scholarship, as in the Penn swimmer.

She could be putting her scholarships and roster spots on the line, but she is committed to Arkansas and there is less chance of repercussions from that institution than other, shall we say, coastal schools. She might not be so vocal is she was going to a place such as Georgetown, which is accepting of soccer/track dual athletes but not so much of views counter to the leftist narrative.

She’s risking her scholarship by saying that Andy Murray could beat Sarina Williams 0,O? Why would anyone care?
