Van conversion vs tiny home . 🚐 vs 🏡 Leaning towards Van life

For parking and just living in one spot, that would suck.

someone adventurous could experience quite a bit. every few days travel to the next town. You could run across the USA self supported, Byo-van.

Executive limo van would pay for itself and you have a nice environment for entertaining and sleeping and would prob be left alone by LE

I have a corporate programming job that I can work remote. One of my coworkers moved out of his apartment and has been venturing around in a 2010 Honda Odyssey for the last few months. After seeing my parents over Christmas/New Years, I decided to trade my few years old Corolla to my mom for her 2004 Honda Odyssey to caravan around with my coworker.

We were mostly eating out, but my coworker had a fridge the size of a cooler and a propane tank with a pan that he would cook on and a small hot water heater just for tea. I have a small chair that folds down into a bed that's pretty comfortable to sleep on. We parked in the parking lots at a ski resort in NC with no issues. Parked overnight at rest stops off interstates, stops off Blue Ridge Parkway, Cracker Barrel, random campsites, etc.

We used a shared community workshop in Nashville to work from that had a full kitchen. We used Planet Fitness to workout and take showers. My coworker has used laundromats, but I waited it out for a while and was able to do laundry when one of his friends offered us a very nice 3 bedroom house to stay in over a weekend.

I still have my apartment that I share with roommates, but I've enjoyed the freedom of traveling around. If I moved out of my apartment, I might be saving money over just living there and not vanning, but it would be close.

And while it's annoying for your car to be in the shop ... imagine if every couple of years or so your house needs to be in the shop for several nights

I've already seen a few of my dumber friends get suckered into this fad.
