This. Feels like they have non-disparagement clause with Hoka. But that kind of throws Ben Rosario under the bus, as they are peddling some kind of narrative around "i felt i was stagnating, and changed things up, and that paid off". How about ya'll just buy a pair of carbon rockets and vaporflys and compare them? I've worn both and I can honestly say without a doubt in my mind, the vaporflys are by far more superior in every way. The new high tech shoes & spikes produced by NIKE are changing the game, whether you wanna admit it or not.

Lara wore a pototype Alta racer rumored to be called the Vanish Carbon. 33mm stack with a super foam and carbon plate! Looks like a zero drop Vaporfly. The 2:11 debut is still fantastic but he was not at much (if any) of a disadvantage.
Oh really, had no idea who was wearing what. My hokas are easily the most comfortable training shoe I've ever ran in. Worth every penny of the 200 dollars I spent on them. Racing shoes isn't their primary market

He actually used the Escalante Racer with the upper of a Vanish-R for marathons when he was with Altra (until the Vanish Carbon was being prototyped). So around 7 ounces. Kinda Altra’s equivalent of the old Boost-era Adios.
As an Altra-head I’m interested in the Vanish Carbon.
