It happened before. It will happen again. It's just a question of when. No point in worrying about those things you can't control.

Odds of our lifetime (<50 years) is small because on a planetary timescale 50 years is the blink of an eye.
Any later than that and IDGAF, wont be here anywayz.
So what like 7 or 7:30pm Pacific time?

Winds go from West to East. If it is worst for Washington state, then it is much worse for state to the East. Completely buried in superhot hot ash.

If I remember correctly, the model has Yellowstone being the source of pressure release. However, the spider web of earthquakes go along fault lines West toward Washington state.. to another pressure release point there.
The major fault lines run up and down the west coast.. really. But yes, the ash would go east.
Will it be enough ash to cover up the feces on San Francisco streets ? A few feet might not be enough.

According to one publication that modeled a variety of supervolcanic explosions at Yellowstone, the northwest doesn't fare as poorly as points east, due to global wind patterns.

Selfish, much? What about your kids? If you don't have kids then the kids of people you care about?
Easy. Anyone who makes you feel threatened by their sex, humanitarian views, concern for the future, or open-mindedness are "liberals." Your opposite number.
If Yellowstone were to erupt, it'd pretty much be game over for the entire continent. I'd probably pack up the car and try to make a run for Mexico, rather than wait for certain death by toxic ash. I'm sure they'd welcome the massive influx of desperate US refugees with open arms, same as we would do for them.
She’s quite the ‘Einstein’ huh?

If people cared about their kids and future generations, they'd actually do something about climate change.
People have kids for selfish reasons, generally.
Is that before California slides into the ocean after the big one?

Sorry. Misdirected.
Let me know on my blackberry when this happens

Because she’s right? We aren’t guessing about this, Yellowstone is sitting on top of what they call I think a super volcano or super massive volcano or something. They guess that it explodes every few million years or some huge number, all I remember is that it is overdue. The good news is that there is absolutely nothing we can do about it, so we don’t have to listen to republicans tell us it’s fake. Except for this guy maybe. But this information has been out since I was in middle school, there has been no scientific challenge, and uniquely no political challenge from conservatives because there is no conversation about what we can do - the answer is we can’t do anything. It’ll suck if it explodes, but the chances of that happening in our lifetime or any lifetimes in even the distant future, is really really small.
The only thing we know for sure is that if there was something we could do, it wouldn’t get done.
How do you know we can't do anything about it? What if we drill a hole to relieve the pressure?

Be a part of the solution and have a vasectomy to atone for your parents selfishness in creating you. Control what you can. Attempting to control others never works.
I hope she is right. I would love to see CA and OR gone.

Isnt fighting (climate) change a typical conservative idea. I am very progressive and accept change
