If my post was circumspect, its because legitimate uncertainty exists. Your response to my "circumspect" post was a declaration that is unsupported as of now. Immunity is not all or none. And in this case, evidence indicates that it is nether all nor none. Thus, its likely to be "some".

If you would in any way consider seeking help from the health care system if your case should warrant it, then i would say you should consider that first, because you are risking the health of those individuals as well.
Plus some of those infected get "long-Covid" and suffer related symptoms sometimes for up to 9 months.
Or simply, you could be one of the unfortunate ones that suffer a more severe case, as some will.

I am honestly over all of the so called experts on this issue. Since when does having a PhD give you common sense? I have met some Doctors with absolutely no street sense and more so with the nerdy "Doctors" who got PhDs . I don't think the "Big Bang Theory" fell very far from the tree. Freaking Jill Biden has a PhD. All that education probably makes you more likely to blindly follow the Faucis of the world.

There's a pretty big gulf in literal "stay at home" and common courtesy with illness. You don't need to shack up a la Wuhan at the start of the pandemic. But maybe just skip out on going to the bar that night, have dinner at home instead of a restaurant, call in sick to work if you can. You know, things people do when their feeling like crap anyway. Not that hard.
Seems like COVID has created a lot of contrarians who view it as their duty to be a bad person merely because someone they don't like says to be a good person.
As another poster noted, the state is misleading since it includes multiple days' of testing. If you look at the chart linked below you'll see there isn't data for 3 days prior so it's really 4 days' worth of cases.

That said, even looking at the rolling average it's a crazy number of cases. On a per capita basis it looks like it's higher than ANY state has had during ANY part of the pandemic. New York was likely higher in spring 2020 and just didn't have enough tests to confirm it, so unfair comparison there - but otherwise DC is at a record high.
It's even crazier when you realize that DC has one of the highest vaccination rates and people are generally good about wearing masks. I'm not implying those measures don't work - just that it contextualizes how crazy the spread is.

Ok that’s clearly a data issue - isn’t the graph over 100% at one point??
What could be happening is that the “test” dates are accurate but cases are sometimes submitted in bunches. So 4 days’ worth of cases were submitted on the same time while tests weren’t - hence having the high number.
Either way, takeaway is still that there’s a lot of COVID
Now theyll use this as justification to tell or even force everyone jabbed/jabbed again with boosters. Theyll blast it all over the media which is typically sponsored/paid by big pharma companies. Sensationalized diction such as "skyrocketing," "surging," "exploding" will be plastered all over every liberal media outlet. Time to wake up.
