Perhaps if people had more details, everyone could finalize their judgement instead of speculating for the rest of everyone's lives. Nothing good really comes of keeping everything silent. No names are needed, but people need to know precisely what happened to warrant such a death sentence.

The sexual harassment allegations are probably deeper than what we have heard about publicly. There is a situation with Kara, Alberto and a plane and the details we haven't heard about.

The "sports psych" who should also be banned Darren Treasure shared information that she thought she was sharing with him in confidence. She told him she was self harming and they dismissed her and rolled their eyes. He weighed her in front of teammates. And oh yeah, he called her fat. Yelled it actually. In front of a huge crowd. And told her it was because she had bacon and eggs at IHOP that she gained five pounds. The whole thing was manipulative.
I promise you that any of you who are whining that everyone is too hard on poor Alberto would crack and break under his "training" methods.
He did cross the line.
I think the justice seems unfair compared to other crimes.

HOW can we do this without any details? Beside the insults and body shaming already known, what the hell else went on? There have been countless coaches over the years imposing those same terrible methods of "motivation", but that is no reason to ban the guy for LIFE. He's already being for sued for everything, so how is he going to earn a living?
There has never been a criminal charge or accusation, so what they hell happened to warrant this?

That has to be the lamest closing argument ever on these boards. What does his tough training methods have to do with a situation where a guy is judged to have committed what sounds like a criminal offense, yet there is no crime, and the man is deprived of a living in his field. WTF is that all about? I don't like Alberto, but this insane system is unfair to anyone with an objective view of the situation.

What part of this is sexual misconduct? Calling a fat person fat should not be illegal, snowflake.
What exactly constitutes secret sexual misconduct? If it is bad enough to ban someone for life, why hasn't the man been charged? I don't know of a single person accused of sexual harassment in the workplace who has been banned for life for working in their chosen field. Sexual harassment is a fireable offense, but its not a death sentence of employment. Anything past that is brought to the authorities.
Who are these people? What are they banning him from and where did they acquire said power assuming they have it?
Salazar may be the biggest scumbag on earth but the report seems to be made of schit.

SafeSport, set up in reaction to multitude of abuse accusations in gymnastics, swimming, etc over the last couple of decades, particularly against minors. No reason to believe this Salazar situation bears any resemblance to that.

If ALberto was cheating as a coach, you would not be far off to suspect he cheated as an athlete. ALberto is a fraud. Good riddance.

Or, one could believe that his lawyers fought hard, but the evidence was too damning.
why would you imagine the man would not be charged if things were that egregious? Statute of limitations? Is misconduct some middle ground between sexual harassment and a sexual crime?

I do think there needs to be some damning information present or it does appear as a witch hunt perpetuated by people who don't like the guy. Obviously there should be zero tolerance for sexual misconduct if it is legitimate accusations. Sure he did some stuff that crossed the line of morality. Many coaches do , unfortunately. The vast majority don't lose their career over it though. But again, I'm not condoning any truly egregious behavior, I just think that it should be clear what the problem was besides people not liking him then pulling the victim card instead of taking accountability for their poor performances.
Maybe, yes, but my money is on a quiet settlement behind closed doors.
