Good point. If she retired/went on her own, showing up to run at her partner's workplace (where she already was training) wouldn't be a big deal. Many interpretations of the scant evidence are possible.

Are the Bowerman team members generally vaccinated? I sense a hesitancy on the part of many elite athletes to get the jab.

January 1 is right around the corner, going to find out all sorts of contract stuff in the coming days. Would be surprised if she retired. Came on strong last season. Still a bright future at the 10k & on the roads. Would also be shocked if Bowerman dropped her before Worlds in Eugene. Still a threat at making the 10k team.

Yes, Infeld left the group at the end of the season as she wanted to investigate the roads, but Schumacher wasn't interested in coaching her as a road athlete.
Had heard that Donaghu and Meyers visited the group but looks like Pete's group won over Donaghu while Meyers seems to still be unattached? I'd also heard maybe Infeld to Brooks but that it wasn't a sure thing.

I'm near 100% certain Infeld is gone. Assuming it hasn't been made official because she doesn't know where she is going next.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if she has left.

She was considerably frustrated by the situation at BTC. She was pretty candid here. I think she having a team as large as BTC was didn't serve her well as a pro with a lot of different injuries, because she didn't get the individualized attention she needed as a pro...sort of like Colleen at the end of the day. I know Colleen leaving was sketchy but her reason for it made sense. She wanted a more individualized training program.
She was also frustrated with Nike for forcing her to come back to Portland to compete when she was fleeing a literal stalker in a pandemic. And I'm sorry that part is ridiculous. Like it's a pandemic, who cares about a stupid squad meet at Jesuit High School. If her safety and health are at risk, don't force her to come back there. Shame on Nike for doing that.

This is such a stupid post. No one is outing Emily Infeld's location. We are discussing who her sponsor may be going forward and what group she may or may not be training with which is/will be public knowledge.
Are you going to shame Emily next for posting her own whereabouts on social media? This crazy man found her regardless of what she or anyone else posted because he is literally crazy.
Maybe she's frustrated and ashamed that her coaches (Jerry and Shalane) went to such great lengths to defend obvious drug cheat Shelby Houlihan and doesn't want to tarnish her own reputation by being associated with them?
