Why does everyone hate L.A. gurls?
I don't mean this to be a negative comment to you...you are certainly entitled to your opinion. But most of the posts on here have been about people not enjoying the commentary of these two during the race. I didn't see the race so will not agree or disagree, but I have watched Quigley do commentary before and have not been a fan. This has nothing to do with her being female, but I simply found she offered very little to the broadcast.
Good on them for building a brand and marketing themselves however they can...but it doesn't mean people have to like their commentary.

yeah it was just bad. Look, these boards can be trash but people could admit Goucher is a great commentator (she is). Neither Colleen nor Alexi have that talent. They excel as IG influencers though.
The duo we never asked for and never needed. Can we just never talk about them again so they don’t get more attention. Both are fake and thrive off anything that keeps them relevant.

well if she is indeed an "influencer" why wouldn't sponsors want to pay her for increasing their sales? I can tell ya, from being a runner in HS, College, and a bit after, Alexi is your standard sub elite club runner. I would bet that anyone on here would say that every team they have been on has had multiple "Alexies" on their team. There are many like her, so there are many who will want to buy what brands she represents.
Pappas was a 5 x AA in college, and had a top ten finish in NCAA XC. No matter what she is doing now, she was a very good runner at her best.

I’m not a fan of either of these ppl, but who else do you expect to do play-by-play at this kind of event? D-list event gets D-list commentators.
Even if the tops clubs and “better” broadcasters showed up, still complain complain complain.
No one else cares about our sport other than the Los Angeles track an d field community which is famous for dominating the Summer Olympics Medal Podium every 4 years for hosting the 1932, 1984, and 2028 Summer Olympic Games.

No, everyone agrees with you. And from someone that has actually dealt with mental health issues, alexi pappas is an absolute disgrace. Her struggles are laughable. Anything for money though
How is having her own mother commit suicide, when Alexi was only 5, a "laughable" struggle? That's the kind of thing that can screw a person up for life.
