I'm sure she may have suffered some abuse but I feel like she could be just making this a cash grab at this point. She had all this hype and was suppose to be the next big thing, and wasn't. Seems like shes trying to almost get back at them after all this time and failure that she wasn't what she thought she was going to be
Mary Cain is a ******** who couldn't cut it as a runner past high school and so blames her coach.
The reality is that Salazars job was to get her as fast as possible and this requires managing her weight. If she didn't like her job - elite performance environment, she should have left. It's like a sumo wrestler having a cry because the coach tells them they need to eat more and put on weight. I have zero respect for Cain.

Because Al Sal fried his brain from literally dying one too many times at the finish line of a race from running too hard. That and he’s the first descendant of Cuba escapees which means he has a different life experience than a little rich white girl from Nee York.

How the times have changed. In the 90's, I witnessed a decorated college coach pickup and hurl a trash can near his athletes because they weren't listening to him. He also openly screamed at and berated some of his athletes during the meet. His team won conference the next week.

NFL coaches yell at their players constantly. They shame them constantly. No judge would pay one of them $20M.
20 million damn. The thing with aiming this high is if there's at least a little legitimacy to her claim, she can possibly reach a settlement for a lot less but still a large amount. If the judge knows nothing about running and is a SJW (which is a decent chance) who bends the knee to a sob story, Cain may win a large sum. Salazar can appeal and this may take years to settle.
But yes, many others have suffered worse abuse (some would not even consider Cain's treatment abuse) and received nothing. But then again, some people were born to sue as well. I do think Mary legitimately believes she was abused and she also believes it cost her running career. A lot of people think they're a victim in today's society. But you can't overlook the fact that Salazar coached many athletes to top level performances. Perhaps Cain should take some responsibility for her running failures as a professional. Today's society likes to blame others for their shortcomings. If every failed runner started suing their coaches, it would make a mockery of the sport.

I remember reading in 2013 or so that she wanted to become a doctor. I guess making lawsuits and being a Twitter victim is easier, but it sure is a lot worse for society...
