Jakob is best or second-best 1500m runner in the world over the past 3 seasons. For Jacob, he has finished silver at World XC in 2019, and he won the World Half Championships in 2020. But on the track, he had a chance to establish himself in Tokyo and it seems he's clearly behind Barega and Cheptegei in the distance running pecking order. So, I'd personally take where Jakob is at with the caveat that yes the 1500 is weaker than the 5,000-10,000. Also worth noting Kibiwott Kandie may be as good at the half as Kiplimo (they went 1-1 last year) and he's also strong in XC, so that's another guy to contend with in those 2 events before thinking about a healthy Kamworor.
Kiplimo is great, but his Tokyo showing was disappointing and makes me wonder if his future is more as a 10,000/roads guy a la Kamworor instead of a track legend a la Cheptegei, Bekele, Farah and so on.
