Karissa Schweitzer looked like she was sprinting the last lap of a final. That was all pretty fast, in miserable conditions, for a final. Hope the women that made the final aren't drained next Monday when they'll likely have to run faster, again likely in miserable conditions.

Agreed, I was surprised that the announcers kept commenting on how easy it looked. I thought she was injured and was clearly grimacing after crossing the line. Tsegay might be the one to beat.

I don’t see what was so strange. First of all we don’t even know that she’s tripling right? Maybe, maybe not. Second of all she’s competitive. I saw numerous athletes today celebrating heat victories or qualifications. Hassan if anything seems pretty genuine in her post-race reactions and clearly she was pretty pumped to pass so many late and nab a win. She’s never been a joyless winner or anything so very within character to celebrate.
