(She would also be a lock to make the team in the 800. With her new PB in the 400, no woman in world history faster than her in the 800 has a better PB in the 400, and no woman in world history faster than her in the 400 has a better PB in the 800. That includes all the dopers and transgenders).

The 800m is currently the event she trains for and probably her better event, although I'm starting to believe the 400m is the event she has the most potential in, the 800m is definitely not just a hobby.

Mu is only entered in the 800 for the Trials. Maybe it has been public already, but her and her coach must have made decision on the 800 a while back.
No need to run the 400 at trials.
If she is on the team for the 800 she can be in the relay pool.
Hell, the shot putters can be in the relay poo.
Unless there are four runners convincingly faster there 49-low for the open 400, I don't see how they wouldn't put her in (at least for prelims).

i'm not seeing the quantum leap from 100 to 800m in men nor women. zero.
which is not to say that the shoes are not better now, obviously they are, but how much?
myself, i'm pretty excited about the new shoes, as i said to nausium here that the old shoes sucked.
