somehow the thread continued to get sadder everytime OP posts in it
That's quite an accomplishment
Here's an idea though. I have [1] athlete in my family that hit the pro ranks [NFL], as a HB. He did really well/shined in college tho [Heisman/etc], and had a storied career mostly in college.
Triple sport threat, drafted by MLB as well, and was no slouch in Bball.
He was known for never getting tackled from behind, and sometimes scoring all of the points for his team. The few times he was actually recorded in a track meet he was scattered across upper 10s which seems slow I guess compared to track stars but he wasn't slow by any stretch of the imagination.
So what point am I arriving at and why am I going through this exercise in this sad thread?
He never had anything negative to say about anyone. Regardless of what was said in the press by whomever/whenever. He picked up a lot of enemies and he knew certain linebackers would be 'headhunting' for him practically the entire game. Looking for that scalp and all.
"Do your best" is the worst he would ever say. He would never belittle, say anything derogative, or anything outside the playfield.
On the grid-iron, trash talker sure. Maybe a cleat or two on somebodys chest but thats the game, and he played it hard [and fair].
Matt you need to stop attacking others and allow your accomplishments to speak for themselves. You make yourself look like a $hithead when you denigrate a known successful athlete.
Nobody cares when you fire up your excuse mill about your height/weight/injuries/age, literally no one. Be the bigger/better man, congratulate your opponents when they beat you, as you'd expect them to congratulate you when you beat them.
Be proud of your successes, but let others sing your praises. Enter some crossfit games or whatever suits your fancy. Your performance must speak for itself. Every time you attack or belittle another athlete it only makes you look sad and causes the listener to have less of an opinion about you--and this part is the most important--- even if your claims are accurate.
The fact that I have him beat in every single lift in the gym negates anything he's accomplished on the track.
Seriously? Do you realize that Hardee was TWICE ('09 and '11) World Champion in the decathlon? Plus he has an Olympic silver medal?
Who has to run a 100m, yep.....nobody!
A 40 will work because it does.
Sam Perry out of Fordham, twice ran a WR 5.9 for a 60, what did he ever do in a 100, well?
This guys threads are great. Hand timed 10 yard dash. Add .76 to his hand time to get FAT. Funniest thing I have seen in a while.

Love this
I just did a workout of 50 sets of 4 meters, averaging 0.64 seconds (hand times) per rep.
What can I run for 5k?
Your passion for lifting is cool but your sense of reality is completely gone. It doesn’t really need to be stated again but stay in your lane pal. Hardee>U

Doesn't matter.
His bench is 365 or was 365 at 210 lbs body weight. Something like that. I probably gave him a 10lb over estimation just to help him out a bit. Mine is 425 at 215lbs naturally. No steroids. See the difference between the two?
His deadlift is like 475.. Mine is 610 right now at 215lbs. See the difference between the two? I mean i'll even give him an extra 60 pounds to his deadlift for free to make up for his lack of leverage due to his height and he's still only at a 535 pound deadlift.
And he's known for going heavy at the gym. If he's so smart and his gym workout plan is so good then why can't he even come close to my numbers? The numbers of some random nobody who does this for fun.
And Trey is like basically the strongest decathlete ever. Don't even get me started on the other 99.98 percent of decathletes who weigh around 195-210 and are no where near these numbers at the gym.
My calves are stronger. My hamstrings are stronger. My forearms are stronger. My chest is stronger. My quads are stronger. Basically everything is stronger than him. But wait. My bad. He's such an olympic athlete within a very limited set of tests.
Plus I just look overall hotter in pictures.
Does Trey look hotter than this? This is what I look like at 41.

Pretty sure the last time I checked he doesn't look anywhere near this even at his peak at 31.
And if I wanted to I could run a mile somewhere between 4:25 to 4:35 within a few months training at a full 210-215 lbs.
That's 4:10-4:20 in the 1500 at a full 210-215lbs.
Trey has a PR of 4:40 in the 1500 at somewhere around 212 pounds which translates to around 4:56 in the mile.
So i'm beating him by like 30 seconds in an event he takes such pride in and talks about the 1500 as if it's such a test of fitness. Which it actually isn't.
Pretty funny that a nobody like me has an olympic athlete beat in the mile and the 800 and basically everything at the gym. He's only better at the shorter events due to a longer stride. And due to my lack of experience in the shorter events. I've been only a sprinter since 2015.
Not to mention that I have maintained this level of fitness since like 1992.
So I have maintained a longer time period of extreme fitness. Trey has basically given up on working out.
And yeah i'm pretty sure that a 41 year old Trey Hardee would come nowhere close to my lifting stats at the gym even if he wanted to give that route a try.
And i'm pretty sure a 41 year old Trey Hardee would come nowhere near a 4:10 to 4:20 in the 1500.
So like I said before. I wouldn't be talking crap if he wouldn't have said in the above video that the decathlon is the best overall test of all around capability of the human body.

Yeah and it's funny that i'm beating Trey in the mile by 30 seconds at similiar body weights of 210-215.
There's a reason why Trey can only run 4:56 in the mile at 210 lbs.
It's called. It's hard to run a mile when you're heavy.
Same exact reason why Nick Bare can only do 4:52 at only 192 lbs.
The more you weigh the harder it is to run a mile.
But what happened everyone? I thought Trey was a special little olympic athlete? Why is a nobody like me beating him this bad in the mile?
I have no clue who you are but anyone that says "I can run a mile in 4:25 if...." isn't ever going to run a mile in 4:25!
Here we have a storied WC and olympic medalist. Elsewhere in the thread we.... do not

If you want any respect on this forum, the feat above is the one that you need to go after.
Breaking 6 I'd take the over on in a mile
Nice pic of Matt relaxing in his mom's basement. Pathetic.

I would be shocked if there is a single feat of athleticism that Trey wouldn't destroy you in.
Yea I summarized it earlier but just to review:
FAT of course
ML:
100m: 15 and change
400m: 72-75
1609.34: 6:40 or so
javelin: sad
shotput: sad
discus:sad
Trey:
100m: 10.3x
400m: 47.n
1500m: 4:40.n [note, at the end of the last day of decathlon, in competition]
javelin: not sad
shotput: not sad:
discus: not sad
+1

You forgot to add Trey Hardees 365 bench compared to my 425 at similiar body weights.
And his 475 deadlift compared to my 610 deadlift at similiar body weights.
Also where's Treys calves at ? I don't really see any in his pics.
Ok give him a 10 second deduction on the 1500 and he's still at only 4:30. I'm still beating him in the 1500 at similiar body weights by 20 full seconds.
Big deal.
Also my numbers in bench and deadlift would be much higher if I didn't spend 1993 till 2015 doing 10ks, 5ks, high mileage per week, and 400 meter dash training every single year.
I'm projecting a 475 pound bench at 215 lbs body weight and a 702 pound deadlift at 215 lbs body weight had I done sprinting training less than 100 meters in place of the distance running from 1993 till 2015.
Don't play games with me.

Go ahead. I'm pretty sure this is a game Trey will lose on.
