Carmody didn't make top 7 and he is a true junior with a bunch of eligibility.
Carmody has sophomore eligibility. He redshirted his freshman year and had a few injury issues, I think. Vasbinder is one of several Ivy Leaguers who transferred to ND because the Ivies are not running - and you can't run as a grad student, anyway. Vasbinder was Heps XC Champion. ND got a couple steeplechaser brothers (Daly) and a miler from the Ivies, also, (Stupak) on the men's side, and a good 1500/5000 meter runner on the women's side (Wasserman). ND has a bunch of frosh redshirting this year, including the #2 at Footlocker, Carter Solomon. Since eligibility rolls over for the year, they have a traffic jam of distance runners.

Yea, no idea what Happened. Chmiel was right with Chelangat until 7,200 m, then darn near got lapped, even though she only slowed a bit.
Looks like Tuohy is entered in the 1500m and 5000m but they are right after each other although it says there is a 2 hour gap between start times. I wonder if she's going to double or just focus on one of the races. I don't think she's ever run a 5000m outdoors before so that could be interesting. Based on her 3k time indoor she could be around 15:50 5k shape or faster. The NCAA auto qualifying times for 1500m and 5000m are 4:21 and 16:10 so she should definitely have a shot at getting those.

Provo/auto times are for division 2. NC State is division 1 which uses a descending order list.

Those are the same for Carmody.
Tuohy in heat 5 of 5000, so about 90 minutes extra rest. That's if she and Bush actually do the double. Will be interesting if they do double, as it won't be a high school double anymore where you can just cruise for the wins. Will have to be 2 max efforts and fields are competitive. (Of course it could be just a workout lol)
Henes raced the most of the group indoor and has realistic Olympic trials aspirations, so most likely she will get a longer break before resuming racing.

Tbf, he was a fantastic runner in XC in high school. I'd assume he was just a bit too much of a long distance guy for high school track, but he made NXN individually and ran a lot of really impressive performances in XC.
The 10K is a long distance. It favors older runners.

In the "Can NAU repeat thread" someone speculated that Grijalva could end up at NC St as a grad student. I think the chances of that happening are slim and none. More likely he'll stay at NAU with his remaining eligibility and she ends up out west. Raleigh & Flagstaff are both great cities but if I were an elite runner, I know where I would rather be.
