For men in pounds, height in inches X 2. So for 6ft -- 144 pounds
You are right - most Japanese elite - 5.6/110, so slightly under. Most have less than 18.5 BMIs.

There is none. It depends on the person. Person A is 5 10. Person B is also 5 10. Person A has a large frame and skull and weighs 160 lbs. Person B has a small frame and skull and weighs 130 lbs Person A has a much lower body fat percentage than Person B, but weighs significantly more. Person B also has a small frame and skull and weighs 130 lbs. Person A runs the 1600, 3200, 5k, and 10k much faster than Person B.

6'4 runner here. This formula definitely isn't right. There is no possible way I could get down to 152 pounds. I'm a bit over 170 and pretty damn slim. According to this formula I'd need to lose 18 pounds... I'd collapse and end up in the hospital for sure!

World class runners are outliers in the sense that their body weight and shape is in no way similar to what we call average people and even slimmer than average people like you. On the other hand, there is no way that with your weight you will be able to achieve world class times but one can guess that that is not your objective. In great Britain, one of the fattest countries in Europe, you would actually be considered quite slim by most of your peers who are not runners.

I'm 6'5" and at my peak I weighed between 150-155 pounds. Many years later I now weigh 195-200 pounds -- still slim, but not "elite" runner thin. (BTW, feel and look much healthier now overall.)
6 foot runner? Damn, that's 3 pairs of shoes at one time!!!!
That's true. I'm 5'11 but 6'4 reach, big ass head and 12.5 feet. When I've been around 150 I feel like sh*t.
