What did Seth DeMoor do at the 5 mile mark of Saturday's half that he isn't proud of

My guess is that a rando or someone that knows of him lobbed an insult about him, his family, or his vlogs. He reacted by either hesitating to reply, cursing, flipping the bird, or injected some pace that caught up to him later in the race.

Seth seems like a decent person that is pretty tightly wound and emotional. Nothing wrong with that but, if you are going to be a public figure and make your living being one, then you need to develop a thick skin. It isn't always going to be sunshine and rainbows. Many IG influencers and YouTube celebrities don't account for the fact that they will attract haters along with fans. Look at the LRC forum front page on any given day. The majority of threads celebrate personal failures or slam athletes, entertainers, and companies for the most innocuous things like declaring racism to be wrong. It's all negative energy but that drives clicks and site traffic and, let's face it, more interest than reading through pages of platitudes and well wishes. On the flipside, many social media mavens also love to create controversy to drive traffic or cravenly play peek-a-boo by manipulating people's emotions to trigger purchases. Could this "drama" just be a tease to keep people viewing or "I will reveal what I told True Love in a member exclusive livestream on Saturday. To see it, join at the Butter My Bread level or higher...".

Negative attention is still attention and attention is currency on social platforms.

He probably trusted a fart and pooped his pants.

Who cares? He's a nobody and this is nothing.

My guess is that he relied on his watch data and it messed up his race strategy, and mentally got in the way of his overall race.

Maybe he was having doubts about if he was good enough to be running with these top guys or he wanted to quit? Usually it’s a mental issue, internal more likely than external. But only SJD and True Love know. I met him at the race and he’s a great person, super nice and friendly.

For the sake of argument, let's consider, as you suggest, he went through a rough patch and some serious self-doubt. Does that fit very well with this phrase,

"I'm not gonna tell everyone, because I never want to be a racer that makes excuses." ??

If he were to share with everyone that he went through some serious self-doubt at mile 5, that would just be admitting his human frailty; it would not be 'making excuses', no?

In Parker Stinson's marathon debut, a side-stitch hit him at mile 21, and his pace began to slow.

Maybe there is a coincidence with DeMoor's Half-Marathon in Naples. Thus, I'm revisiting my initial thoughts pertaining to the idea that Seth was rocked, at least temporarily, by something physical...maybe a side-stitch. That would fit with phrase that he "didn't want to make excuses", and that it had "nothing to do with any other racers or anything on the course or anything like that", and it is something that he can "take with him and use as fuel for the next training block". Additionally, along with any bit of physical duress at that point in the race would come mental self-doubt.

Seth doesn't look so hot in his latest video. Is he coming down with something? Perhaps a virus that's with the letter C.

In my opinion. He should just come out with it, and let everyone know at this point. Its like saying hey I have to tell you something, oh nevermind. It can't be truly that bad if he admitted to telling his wife, but going to keep it for himself. Why even say something then. While I agree, some things should be kept for oneself. If that were the case, don't say anything and just keep it that way.

For the record, I do watch some of his videos. Does seem like a good genuine dude who works hard. But again at this point, just let it out.

I have it on good faith that DeMoor intentionally cut the course at this point.

Evidence has been forwarded to the RD and an expulsion and arrest is imminent. Our streets will be safer now that DeMoor will be in prison.

I don't see anything except that he moves to the back of the pack here. I'm thinking that he just had a side stitch or something like that.
