i personally agree with your assessment of Rush Limbaugh, but i have to defend Flagpole. i'm not sure about third choice. even though i don't always agree with Flagpole's OPINION (real men definition). i think you are wrong about him. he is one of the most thoughtful and fare posters on this board. your Flagpole judgment is unfounded.

Are you kidding me that "we would never use them on innocent people"? What the hell do you think Hiroshima and Nagasaki was? The US WAS NOT attacked by WMB back then and they were still used against the Japanese and it's children, not army bases, etc.

Haha, good point Kohlberg... I love it when people ask the protestors what their solution to the war would be - most of them haven't the slightest clue. I saw a website (but I can't remember the url at the moment) where they had a piece called "Protesting the Protestors." The guy went with a video camera to the big NY protests a few months ago and asked people questions and they said the most ridiculous answers. yes, they DID find the Weapons of Mass Destruction, the problem is there are in Pakistan and North Korea.

16x, have you read Michael Moore? Sounds like your philosophy on our government and corporate greed jives with his. I, also, subscribe to that line of thinking.

That said, I believe that Saddam is far more dangerous than we can conceive. I, also, believe that he's too devious for internation inspectors and that we (US, UK, & the Australia) need to clean up our mess. In addition, note, that most Iraqi-Americans are in favor of taking out Saddam by force even though loved ones maybe harmed. They truly understand what a tyrant he is.

Contrary to my squealing, I am not against getting Saddam. Hope we do.

What I would like is for once our leaders to fess up to the fact that even without inspections, they know what he has..Why? Because there are records of exports, and we and others have clearly supplied him with the goods he needs to cause destruction.

It makes you wonder if we aren't in the "axis of evil" are we just the suppliers to the "axis" and who else are we selling to at this very moment?

We should stop being so two-faced. Don't allow our companies to sell weaponry and biological warfare to the entire world! Stop acting like we are innocent. That's all I ask.

Why do people bash America when a good deal of "foreign" runners on this board are currently training in the United States with American $$$.

Secondly, We (The USA) have WMD to protect the rest of the world, we do not use these weapons we have developed them in case a conflict arises and god forbide we were attaked and needed to use them or one of your countries came crying for the USA's help.

Maybe one of the other countries should attempt to take the role that everyone throws @ the USA. Sure Britian backed us up this time but many of you believe that we are Bullies, we are not we tend to come to everyone elses aid when they are asking for help.

Does this include an apology to the Iraqi people for the US role in their oppression? Afterall if we are going in to "free" them shouldnt we be honest enough to admit to them our role in their abuse?

We support their dictator, supply him with WMD, bomb them on two separate occasions and now we're off to free them. Wow, what a bunch of nice guys those GI's are coming in to free them like this. I sure hope they're waiting for us with open arms and bunches of flowers in Baghdad.

I don't like the U.S. selling weaponry, precursors to biological warfare to third world countries because we have to appease the Union Carbide companies for campaign donations, and then bitching and moaning when they use it on their own and then on us. If you need examples, read the posts of third choice and, Flagpole. Third choice doesn't really cover up the fact that he is just another preppy ivy league asshole, but Flagpole tries to win the approval rating by saying he prays for the troups, or that he is a father, thus a real man, or that he has endearing thoughts about Mr. Rogers. He's the scary one and he doens't even know it.

These two in particular post their "experiences" as being the universal experience for others, which cannot be farther from the truth. They seem to have no f***ing clue what it might be like to be poor, or black, or female, or Iraqi, or disabled, or uneducated, because they like themselves too much to think that any other perspective or view might have merit.
