I got a ban last week that said something along the lines of "if you don't like LRC, go away."

As long as the fringe right wing hate speech posters receive preferential treatment, I'll be here slinging speech-bombs at posters like Dunce Runner, AnalWart53, Meathead, and the other regular a-holes who get away with endless misinformation, right wing trolling, etc.

LRC has the potential to be what it once was, a fantastic and open exchange of ideas about running and the world at large. It ain't that AT ALL at this time.

I understand that moderation is your choice, but don't claim that it is all about free speech and then delete everything anti-Republican and promote any number of wild right-wing conspiracy theories and their repetitive theorists.

Smoke less weed dude. The brooks ONLY delete the conservative threads. Allen53 is a liberal although having the balls to question the coronavirus from a scientific perspective. He brings food to the table. I know at least 8 people that only go to letsrun to read Allen's threads. It's hard for the left to understand that you can actually have your own individual opinion on the " virus" without being pro- Trump.

This place has become very disappointing of late. A few months back, I was excited when it was announced that changes were coming and those changes hinted at more transparent moderation and cracking down on the nonsense.

What did we get? A font change. Paid "premium" membership option with questionable content/perk values. MORE nonsense threads (Greg, David45, Allen53) and a near total elimination of intelligent discussion ("Wait a minute! These are respectful comments with citation of facts and actual insider knowledge. Delete this immediately! It isn't generating enough clicks.").

I never thought that I would ever type this but, Reddit seems like a better place to discuss running/training without sifting through dozens of "YOU SUCK!!!" posts to find useful information. Trolls can be funny but, the political, attention, and conspiracy trolling far outweighs the actual running discussion these days. This short pretty much sums things up:
