I’m very nutrition conscious and make 95% of my own meals. I’ve tried all kinds of different salads and found the kinds of things I like in them. However, I also eat a handful of spinach or greens with every meal when I’m able. So what I’ve kind of come to in the salad department is the idea that a salad doesn’t even always need to be assembled. For example I like a salad with teryiaki chicken and pineapple but now I’ll often just eat the parts separately. When I’m on the go to work and want an almond and dried cherry salad I’ll basically go with a ziplock of greens and a ziplock of trail mix. Also, salads can really be as healthy or unhealthy as you like depending on what you add— meats, dressings, cheeses, sugary items, etc. So if you don’t want to eat “salad”, eat what you want but consider eating a bunch of greens on the side. Sometimes it’s really not that different.
