Which double would be more impressive: steeplechase/10000 vs 400h/800

Malinowski won the Steeple at the '74 Euros and was 4th in the 10.

In the 1978 NCAAs he ran heats of 8:18 and 13:21, which were both extremely fast times then, on the same day. He could have easily run a 10000 on the first day of a meet and then a heat and a final in the steeplechase.

But he didnt.

He did do the 1977 NCAA double, second in the steeple, not sure what dis place in the 10k was but he was well back.

I want to see the 100m and marathon double. That would show real range. Doubling two distances close to each other doesn't impress me.
