Good for you, but 8.5% body fat really isn't all that impressive, unless you compare it to the average American. However, I'm sure many on this board are lower than that, even some people at your age. Certainally, nothing to brag about. Oh, and the 24 year old girlfriend- guys who are 43 with 30% body fat also get hot 24 year olds, they do it with their money, you do it with your body. (or maybe you do it with both, i don't know) same difference.

Just a bit of advice (or rather a heads up) from a 34 year old woman. I am a former Div. 1 xc athlete who still looks good. (5'5" 110, 13% bf, 65 mpw (if you must know, since everyone seems so concerned)). Let me tell you about runner men. When they get to be in their mid-30's, they will drop you so quick for the first little 24 year old slut that somes along. So that is what you have to look forward too. Particularly if, as you say, your "type of man" is "too busy making money" and "moving up the corporate ladder". Those bastards are the absolute f***ing worst. Be careful what you wish for, honey, as he will (I guarantee), drop your skinny little butt as soon as you hit, say, 30.
