Kirani James absolutely killed those guys the last 20-30 meters. He atleast gained a quarter second in those last meters it was incredible to watch. Truly a remarkable world lead, the 18 year old is absolutely an incredible sprinter. Truly remarkable run by the young sprinter. He has to be considered for a gold medal or at least a medal come the World Championships time. Quite remarkable really.

Plus Crystal Palace not the fastest track and a bit windy so world lead in those conditions is good

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the #2 fastest junior performance of all time. He is ranked #1 in the world at 18 years old.. pretty incredible and remarkable if you ask me. When was the last time an 18yr old was #1 in the world in the 400??

he's leading the world in 400m, and he's 18... yes it's a weak year but its pretty freaking awesome

Running a world leading time while winning a Diamond League meet in August - when you're 18 - is pretty remarkable.
The kid has fantastic talent.
More important was his conmtrol of his race down the back straight. Guys were keying off him. Big mistake for them.
And his last 175 was as good as you get. I can see him not having the physical maturity to win after a few rounds. He is a youngster, but don't expect him to beat himself.
He is a smooth and strong as anyone I have ever seen in the last 40 m.
