Dude, I was thinking this EXACT thing yesterday. THE DUMBEST part is Doc wearing the bulletproof vest at the end. So let me get this straight -- he VOLUNTARILY risked putting himself and young Marty in the line of fire of a bunch of terrorists after KNOWING what would happen? DUMB DUMB DUMB
In "US Marshalls" Tommy Lee Jones chases Wesley Snipes through the streets after a firefight in a Queens NY cemetery (the actual cemetery location was in Chicago).
Snipes ducks into a retirement home with Jones in hot pursuit, then gets cornered by Jones on the roof. Snipes escapes by tying a cable around his waist and swinging down to the roof of a Metro North Train Station in Harlem -- miles away from Queens.
In "Lord of the Rings" why didn't Gandalf ask the giant eagles who rescued him from Orthanc and showed up again at the end to pick up Frodo and Sam in Mordor just to take Frodo and Sam at least most of the way to Mordor to begin with? It would have saved a lot of hassle.
Sauron would have seen the eagles and posted archers around the entrance to Mt. Doom.
