Chris Whetstine Issues Statement to LetsRun.com Saying He Offered to Take a Lie Detector Test in Regards to Gatlin Doping Allegations According to the Washington Post, Justin Gatlin's main defense in his USADA doping hearing that got underway today will be that massage therapist, Chris Whetstine, secretly doped him without his knowledge by rubbing a testosterone cream into his legs. Whetstine, a massage therapist, who LetsRun.com's Weldon Johnson has visited before, wrote letsrun.com in regards to Gatlin's claims in the Washington Post article. Here is Whetstine's statement: So he (Gatlin) is going to try and finger me for his positive drug test after all. This is utter and complete rubbish. Why would I sabotage the best job I ever had? And besides, I offered myself for polygraph testing to Gatlin's investigators, the federal government, and USADA from the very beginning. They could have ruled me out if they had truly wanted to. Whetstine was allegedly beaten up by Nike employee Llewellyn Starks at nationals in 2006 and has a lawsuit filed against Starks and Nike.
