Runnersworld.com and LetsRun.com settle dispute July 22, 2002 You may have heard of the dispute that arose earlier this year between Runnersworld.com and LetsRun.com over LetsRun.com's linking practices to Runnersworld.com. We are pleased to announce that the issue has been resolved civilly. Neither party has any grievances with the other in regards to linking. Runnersworld.com acknowledges that LetsRun.com never engaged in an illegal linking practice, or violated Runnersworld.com's copyright. As a courtesy, LetsRun.com will use best efforts to link to Runnersworld.com's regular pages in the future. During the dispute, as a result of miscommunication between its employees, Runnersworld.com issued inaccurate statements to members of the public claiming that Runnersworld.com had emailed LetsRun.com several times asking them to change their linking practices prior to approaching LetsRun.com via an attorney. Runnersworld.com now acknowledges that this did not happen, and wishes to apologize for this error and for any harm it caused LetsRun.com and/or Robert and Weldon Johnson, the founders of LetsRun.com.
