We break down the elite men's field that will challenge US Olympians Galen Rupp, Jared Ward and Meb Keflezighi in Boston on Monday.

Salel won in 1:03:13 and Wacera 1:10:19 as both had some interesting post-race quotes with Salel saying he loves Boston so much he should look for an apartment there and Wacera talking about latching on to a sub-elite male runner to help her with the pace.

Salel will face Silas Kipruto (59:39) and Daniel Chebii (59:49) while the women's race has Diane Nukuri (69:12).

With the Olympics still a week away, the best racing action of the week is in Maine, where several U.S. and international stars will gather for the 19th TD Beach to Beacon 10K. We caught up with Ritz (he's fit and possibly in road PR shape), Bekele (he's healthy), True and several others on Friday including Keitany, who said all the right things but was clearly still miffed that she won't be running the Olympic marathon.

They'll face a deep field which includes Atsede Baysa, Mary Wacera, Edna Kiplagat and Kim Smith. On the men's side, Geoffrey Mutai will face Dathan Ritzenhein, Abdi Abdirahman and Daniel Salel.

$30,000 for both of them for a little over an hour's work.

Stephen Sambu, who owned the American road race scene this summer, was only fourth in 62:00. Molly Huddle was the top American woman in third (69:23), while Ethan Shaw, a member of the B.A.A.
