Well, duh. She can walk into any drugstore and purchase EPO over the counter in Kenya. Evidently, you can do the same thing in Portland with asthma medication. Who knew?

You're certainly on the pulse!
Nearly two months old news as is the article.
Any possibility of a payoff to keep this quiet? Another female Kenyan would be catastrophic for that country. Look at all the damage done with Sumgong's positive.

She is now a Citizen of Bahrain, I guess she could go back to Kenya to visit family.

Bahraini and Qatari athletes from the Rift Valley don't actually live there. They live in their home countries and just compete for those nations, like mercenaries. They might visit every now and again for some publicity things, but thats it. Those nations are horrible for distance training for several months of the year and I'm pretty sure the citizens are racist as all get out against Africans, so no one training seriously lives there.
To my understanding, this was never confirmed by the Athletics Integrity Unit.
What is the status on the issue, because since the incident was reported no further information
has been provided?

All of the Africans dope, this is why all of their times should be discounted. They should take all their records off the books and only put times on from any country there that has adopted the same drug testing standards as the US and similar countries.
This is the only way for the world to take running more seriously. Right now its a joke.

They have the same standards of testing. However, one problem is that there's so much talent that falls outside the scope of the testing pool.
Really?
Please give names of top Kenyans and Ethiopians marathoners tested OOC as frequently as Rupp for example.
I don't think anyone is tested as often as Rupp. He's been in their crosshairs for a while.

Yeah, a lot get around testing, which is very troubling. Also, can someone name the certified doping control organizations in Kenya, Ethiopia, S. Africa, etc?
OMFG - Bharaini/Kenyan distance runner in EPO drugs bust shocker!!
Unbelievable!!
Why on Earth are they not listening to Italian coaching wizard Canovi so that they would understand that there is no need to take EPO as it does not work on Kenyans?!!!
Ok then. But at the London 2017 WCs, the Africans were beaten in the 3000 steeplechase. So if they are doping according to your statement, how does one beat a doper if the said person is not a fellow doper.
Funny how you guys blame Africans for doping yet lots of Americans are obviously doping. You think Jager is innocent?
Ask fancy bears.

The Africans lost because of things like missing the water jump, falling down, and erratic pacing. Coburn and Frerichs just chilled behind them for most of the race then blew them away on the last lap. They essentially had pacers for the entire race. I don't think anyone in that race produced a performance that would warrant doping accusations.
Of course that Americans are also heavy dopers, Rupp, Jager, Coleman, Gatlin etc, BUT they are at least regularly tested, whatever that means, on the other side Africans are almost not OOC tested at all.
See the DIFFERENCE?
Test them REGULARLY (multiple times per month year round) and only then allow them to compete on international level...
by NON AFRICAN testers etc etc

Isn't because of the Fancy Bear's hacked document?
