Kudos to Guinness for insisting someone have better verification than their boyfriend.

Why wouldn't she videotape it?

Maybe she didn't even run close to 520 miles.

"With 24 hours live footage, videos recording all the key milestones asked for, 1000s of witnesses in a public environment, an hourly log of mileage, breaks and sleep time-it's still not enough.
If it wasn't Strava-ed, it didn't happen.
In the picture she seems to have a lot of running medals.
However, can't find her profile on power of 10
Can anyone find some legit results for her?
Found it.

Amazes me that someone can run 500mikes in a week but can't even be bothered to do one race all year.
Not sure where she got all those medals from.
Yeah, I think Panache Lingerie chose her as one of their "ordinary women" for a campaign, and then dolled her up bigtime of course.

Guinness has a long checklist of items needed to be considered for records.
If it was her intent to get a record, she should have checked off all the boxes. Don't complain after the fact.
Love her webpage:
Official Guinness World Record* set at The Trafford Centre, Manchester.
8 September 2016.
*Awaiting official Guinness verification.
She's a Dean fan.
https://medium.com/the-fuel657-journal/marathon-runner-amy-hughes-my-love-hate-relationship-with-running-a402b7ceb446I got the bug after my first 26.2 miles. It was the 2009 LA marathon because I was living in America at the time. I skipped the 5K and 10K and went straight for the full distance. I’m an all or nothing kind of person.
Ultramarathon runner Dean Karnazes inspired me to take on the 53 marathons challenge after I read his book 50/50: Secrets I Learned Running 50 Marathons In 50 Days. I absolutely loved it. He’s my running hero.
Probably has a sex tape. You'd think she'd tape this too.

My Spidey senses are tingling.......
She claims to have run 53 marathons in 53 days before, yet her PowerOf10 does not suggest anywhere near such a pedigree of ability.
I sense another disturbance in the force and there is likely more reasons for Guiness rejecting her claim that she is letting on.

She's a legit 4 hour marathoner. The last few years there are 2 Amy Hughes running London. One in 3:30s and one in the 4:00 range. Nothing faster than 3:35. Two years she ran Windermere in a little over 4 hours.

Miki Gorman did ran more than 500 miles in a month around a very small indoor track in a gym, before she'd ever run any races. Then later she won the Boston Marathon. I was in races she was in many times in Southern California.

It would be difficult to get more verification than this.
I sympathize with her and believe that she did what her records support.
Whether Guinness approves it or not is up to them, but doesn't matter to me.

Where can I see all these 24 hour live coverage videos so I can validate them?
Who read the numbers off the treadmill (assuming it was calibrated) and recorded the miles? Amy Hughes' boyfriend that did this is also her partner that set up and controls her 2 year old 53 Foundation that she solicited donations for in this event that she and her boyfriend will then get to decide how to spend. There are far too many conflicts of interests here and I can totally see why Guinness rejected her claim. And Guinness is not exactly know to be strict with past running record claims like with a certain Parvaneh Moayedi.
https://mydonate.bt.com/events/amy53/329450Personally the whole "marathon" of definition of simply "running" 26.2 miles is insane. I'd be more impressed if someone ran in 1 legit verified marathon a week for a year.
The made up "marathons" annoy me.
She is cute when photoshopped but a fraud.
