Musk is a smart innovative dude. That's why he's been sucking off the teet of sweet sweet government subsidies, plus the gullible green conscious morans who were guilted into buying a Tesla.

Mining in space is not feasible. If you think shipping costs are high now... I wonder if anyone has done an environmental impact analysis of space mining.

If you were really interested in why he wants to colonize Mars it is easy to find out. Go back and do a little real research and maybe you'll stop making ignorant posts.

Ok. I just got a Volt and it's a lot of fun to drive. I don't see myself ever getting another ICE car. I'm basically getting 500-1000 miles per gallon with my Volt. And the EV capabilities of the PHEV Volt are not that great compared to pure BEVs because the range is low and the charge acceptance rate is slow. For example, my Volt charges at about 10 miles per hour. I think that the Bolt EV can go 2 times that fast on Level 2 charging and I'm not sure but maybe 3-4 times on DC Fast Charge. And it's only going to get better. If there had been a pure EV which met my needs in the form factor I would have gotten it rather than the Volt.

I'm a bit disappointed when I see that a guy at my work just got a huge 4Runner and that a lot are driving huge trucks. It's their choice, I suppose. For me, I'm using free chargers in my city and on my commute. It might not last forever, but I'm using them while I can.

Elon Musk, the eccentric CEO of Tesla and Space X, has billed himself as a would-be savior of the Thai junior football squad that is trapped in a flooded cave. He is apparently building a tiny submarine out of space rocket parts.

With time being of the essence for 12 boys and their coach, who have been trapped inside a Thai cave for over two weeks, the US tech visionary has come forward with some ideas of his own.

Back on Thursday, a few days after the boys were discovered crammed on a ledge by divers, Musk floated the idea of building an "escape pod" and said his engineers were also busy working on "an inflatable tube with airlocks" to fetch the boys.

After receiving "great feedback" from Thailand, Musk has now apparently settled on "a tiny, kid-sized submarine" that would be based off a liquid oxygen transfer tube from his Falcon 9 space rocket. The device, Musk tweeted, will be "light enough to be carried by 2 divers, small enough to get through narrow gaps" and "extremely robust."

What a great humanitarian, now he is fixing Flint's water supply.
