    Paul Chelimo and Shadrack Kipchirchir have joined the ranks of Chelanga and Korir "under" Scott Simmons.

    Dan Browne is not liked. To be the best you must train with the best.

    The Kenyans are the best in the world for a reason and a lot has to do with their training environment and group.

    Colorado Springs, CO will now be home to the following athletes:

    Paul Chelimo

    Shadrack Kipchirchir

    Lenny Korir

    Hillary Bor

    Lawi Lalang

    Sam Chelanga

    Stanley Kebenei

    Robert Cheseret

    Augustus Maiyo

    Etc.

    2017 will be one for the ages for this group. If these athletes can listen to their body and not compete against each other in practice day in day out, it's going to be a HUGE year for a lot of these athletes.

    And for Scott Simmons, let him take credit just like Dan Browne is trying to take credit for Chelimo and Shadrack for their Olympic success, but let's be honest, these guys don't listen to their coach's - they listen to themselves.

    I can confirm that a source has told me all of these people have relocated to Colorado Springs.That being said, can I nitpick with the logic of part the OP's post?

    I would say a lot has to do with their genetics. We have seen Kenyan born athletes crush it while training in Kenya (Kipchoge) orin America both as a Kenyan (Lagat) and American (Lagat/Chelimo).

    Mo and Galen both live in Portland. Further, NOP is a closed group. They have no desire in letting a group of Kenyans (naturalized or not) train with them. Lastly, the WCAP guys cannot move to Africa. Are you really this out of touch? I'm honestly asking.

    Most of them are considered Americans because they joined the Army. Join the Army and one is automatically granted citizenship.

    Don't need a training partner to have broken 13 to get faster. You need an environment where you're happy and relaxed. Colorado Springs is that destination. Also, it's WCAP headquarters.

    Perhaps. But only if they stay away from the safe zones (i.e., Monument and Sante Fe trails) and hammer up 666 on a daily basis like real men.
