Aldo wins. Floyd is a master boxing tactician who outplays his opponents. GSP is the same thing, a master tactician but only in UFC instead.

Mayweather would win in the first round. There isnt a way for Also to counter boxer punches
Floyd doesn't have KO power and his hands have trouble with 10 oz. gloves. Using 4 oz. gloves would be a nightmare for him. In the octagaon, Jose has plenty of room to stay away and chop him down with leg kicks. If Jose wanted to shoot on him, the fight would be over in under a minute.
A far more interesting match would be for them to fight using Muay Thai rules in a ring.
In a MMA match Aldo easily. In a boxing match Mayweather easily. Why do people even ask these questions?

Aldo. No boxer has EVER won an MMA fight under MMA rules. They can't, and they can't make up for lost time training wise, unless they spend years prepping for MMA. James Toney was clobbered by Randy Couture.
If the fight were under boxing rules, then Mayweather would win. He would just run and gun.
Mayweather already chickened out of fighting Conor McMouth, he'll never go into an MMA cage.

Would the balance change if Aldo had to keep it off the mat? Striking and kicks but no takedowns? Would Mayweather be viable in the clinch against Aldo?
If it was a dirty boxing match without elbows and unlimited clinches. Mayweather would probably win as he defeated Hatton who basically fought this style. I seem to recall Ray Mercer knocking out Tim Sylvia in a regular MMA after training for about a year. So training for this type of match should be fairly easy.Bones Knows wrote:
