I wanna know too. What shoe was it? He sure ran fast I want some of those fast Rupp shows. Those are fast shoes.
Streak 6
Definitely NOT Streak 6. Custom upper with extra thick phylon sole. Look at Cragg and Flanagan to see the Streak.
Flanagan was using this new shoe as well.. looks much different than the Zoom Streak 6.
Those bibs are huge and aren't their safety pins placed in an irritating spot?
Why does it matter what shoes they are? They aren't going to make you run any faster than the shoes you are in now. The gear doesn't make the athlete my friend. If they were on a 4.5 hour marathoner then you wouldn't say man I need those.
Looks a little different than the Streak 6- No open mesh in the upper and the midsole looks thicker.
They look a lot like a whited out flyknit racer from the pictures I've seen. Possibly a new colorway for them?
looks like the streak 3, but I'm not an expert
I think it's a prototype. I saw an article on the shoes of the trials and it was listed here: http://running.competitor.com/2016/02/shoes-and-gear/u-s-olympic-trials-marathon-shoe-count_145359

They are prototypes. Galen's had a Streak 6 upper and Shalane and Amy had the Streak LT upper. They aren't going to be in production any time soon, although the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Around campus they're calling them "The 3 percent" alluding to the fact that you'll run three percent faster than your fitness level in them.
Lemme know where you get that Kool Aid at.

Next time you're gearing up for a PR in the marathon, make sure to pack a pair of Brooks Beasts to race in. Get back to me about how gear doesn't matter. It may not make the athlete, I'll agree with that. And I wouldn't buy a shoe just because a fast athlete uses it. But don't crap on other people just for showing interest.
Nikeman: what has the feedback been on the Streak 6's? Also, will Nike come out with new spikes for the Olympic year?
What are the spikes that I keep seeing Blankenship, Casey, and Leer wearing around Eugene? They're certainly not a current model that can be purchased as far as I know.
I think those are the new version/upgrade of the Victory. You'll see them in Rio, and then they'll be released this fall.
prototypes.... they'll never be released and are to expensive to get on the low. A Nike worker and supplier for OTC specifically told me yesterday. He laughed when I told him if they'll get released...
