When the pros get injured, which doctors do they visit? Who are the gurus of sports medicine in the US - comparable to, say, Gerard Hartmann in Ireland.
I'm dealing with a long-term injury and I want the absolute best. Time is of the essence. For what it's worth, I'm located in South Florida.

You didn't give any indication of your injury, but I would suggest contacting Dr. Brian Fullem. He's a podiatrist in Tampa, and he's worked with many national caliber runners.
I've heard great things about Dr. Fullem, to be sure. Unfortunately, my problem has to do with pain in the left lateral knee, which I believe is out of his realm of expertise.
