ran 8 x 800 with a one lap jog recovery in 2 minutes. Kept them controlled for the first 7, all 2:24 then picked the last one up in 2:19.
Any ideas of a 3k/5k prediction?

I give my HSers this workout in track that train for the 3200. We do it at 5k pace with that exact rest. So I'd guess this is pretty close to 5k pace for you.
I'll say you can run 14:45-50
I also basically ran that workout in college one season and then two weeks later ran 14:41.
8:30s 3k.
8x800 with 2 minutes rest is a common 3k pace workout
Based on your workout youre roughly in 12:45 5k shape. Give or take a minute.
Assuming you take a week or two of lighter work before racing the 5k, I'd say 15:10.
8:40
8:30/14:40

I used to do some 8x800 wkouts 2:12 with 90 sec rest but didn't get under 14:10 5k that season.
...... so i would guess around 15:15-15:25
