Wow! This is an awesome chance to see 3 Olympic-caliber athletes up close. No matter what events they're in, I'm pumped to see them run (and not have to watch them on a crappy west-coast feed on the Internet!)

Glad you get to see all three up close, but it's going to be some bland racing. D'Agostino is running the 800 and should be the favorite. She might have some competition, so it'll probably be the best race. Both Huddle (3k) and Smith (5k) should destroy their respective fields if they are in decent shape, which means the races will be quite boring. Have fun though.

Guess we'll just have to see how the races shape up on Saturday then, won't we?
Who do they think they are, 100 m sprinters avoiding each other? They all should run the 3000 and throw down.
IIRC, the meet gives prize money and Smith and Huddle train together. This way they can drive up from Providence together, run nice tempo workouts, and get paid to do it. If they race each other they don't get as much $ to take home.

There is only prize money in the 800 this weekend.
15:02 for smith, not too shabby

Nah, for the distance races it wasn't raining really. Especially the fast heats.
Pretty good weather overall.
In the beginning at least the weather was great- cool, not too windy..
As often is the case, the East Coast runners had to contend with a high humidity level. That's one of the reasons most people's pbs will occur on the West Coast where they often run in cool, dry air. I'd guesstimate a speed up of 10 to 15 seconds over 5k for a run in cool dry air compared to a run in cool humid air.
Holy F****ing Sh**. Employee 1.1 just broke 15:00 for 5000 for the 1st time at age 36.
