Wow.
that is awesome and aspirational. (not sarcastic)
Um, ever heard of shoes that fit?
TMI
I've been running high mileage, 60-100 a week, for over 20 years and my feet look normal. What am I doing wrong (right)?
I am being serious, too.
Not hot.
I believe this is where an old term comes into play. Those feet are "gnarly." And, this would be the old definition - not the new.
i've never understood the whole black toenail thing. don't think i've ever gotten one but i know tons of runners that do.

Some may view this as inspirational. Others, myself included, view it an stupidity.

Second this guy. High mileage in lightweight trainers on 90% concrete, and my feet/toes look normal. Probably been 3 years since I lost a toenail. I don't understand how people get gnarly feet and messed up toenails like this.
That's about as inspirational as beating your head against the wall until you're bloody. There is nothing about those feet that should be seen as positive and should be seen as a sickness before using as inspiration.

Look, she is a mountain runner. She is running down steeps, often technical, for hours and hours. She is not running on smooth dirt.
She competes in the world long distance mountain running champs - that is up to 28 miles. And that is just the race, not the training.
Running on smooth dirt or pavement doesn't do that to your feet.
Anyway, I find it inspirational that she has committed fully to this. As long as she is not doing permanent damage - good on her.
Wow. That website is the best example of someone trying to make something out of nothing when they really don't want to get a real job.
And I DO know that there are a lot of these people and websites out there, but this one is the best example I have seen of a former great talent trying to get money from people without using that talent.
This is from the Cortical Field Re-Education tab:
"As an athlete, I am accessing Flow more easily than ever before." Yes, "Flow" is a proper noun apparently. Like "the Force".
IT says, "she embarked on the path to becoming the accomplished Movement Awareness instructor that she is today and completed a four year professional training in CFR." But it doesn't explain what this is or how you can take advantage of it or how she could help you to practically reeducate you cortical field. I assume she will reeducate your cortical field for money since that is what this site is all about.
Don't believe me? You can get a Trail Running Tour for 1.5 hrs for $125.
God, I knew it was bad in Boulder, but this is way over the top.

This stuff is awesome.
I also have training in CFR, the Code of Federal Regulations.
Serious bunions.
I thought every runner's feet looked pretty much like that if they ran enough.

Looks permanent to me. Looks like some major bone issues down there.
The very first line of the website begins:
"Prior to discovering the ease and efficiency that running with awareness of her bones gave her..."
ROTFLMAO!
I don't even know what to say, except that I think she looks like Jeff Bridges.

well there are two issues - the blisters/toe nails and the bone structure. The blisters/toenails are badges of honor. The bone structure - well, you haven't seen many feet of women over 40 in america, have you? most are like that from wearing ridiculous shoes most of their lives.
I don't think the bone structure is from running - it's from heels and whatever other bad shoes she has worn for 20 years.
