Who you got?
It pains me to say this, but I'd say Heat in 5.

Heat=more star power
Mavs=more depth

same here....this will be fixed. miami in 5 or 6. Lebron and dwade shoot record amounts of free throws.
You must be a birther. The Mavs choked in '06. They were up 2 games to none and had a 13 point lead with about 6 mins to go in the 4th quarter of game 3. D Wade was unstoppable that series. He was a spectacular high-wire act back then-dunking left and right and nobody on the Mavs could defend him.
I predict Heat in 6, they are peaking at the right time. Three super-stars will trump one super-star six days a week and twice on Sunday. This rematch will end the same way.
Interesting that the Mavs play their home games in the American Airlines Center and the Heat play at the American Airline Arena or the "Triple A" for short.

it depends. If it is fixed, I have the heat in 6. If it officiated fairly, I say the Mavs in 5.
However, I think we all know that it will not be officiated fairly, and it will be fixed, so definitely heat in 6.
What you idiot conspiracy nutjobs fail to realize is this: Udonis Haslem played less than 10 games in the regular season. Broke his foot and was out until game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Haslem makes the Heat frontcourt much taller and he provides huge rebounds is great on defense. Mark my words, the Heat would have lost this series if Haslem did not play!!!!!
go back and watch that 4th quarter. if anyone breathed on wade, wade was shooting 2.
the 3 superstars point will only make this phenomenon more embarrassing for the league.
in tonight's game, for example, gibson got a t for a brief reaction to a call. that's fine if you call it both ways. a few minutes later each of lebron and wade had greater reactions, especially wade. and neither received a t.
this established pattern in the nba, of giving the benefit of the doubt to stars, is likely to doom the mavs.
The Bulls youth and inexperience showed and they couldn't put the game away. Lebron, Wade, and Haslem have been deep in the playoffs before and their experience will be key for the finals.
Look, you can make excuses about bad calls all day long, but if the Bulls can't hold a lead late in a game and lose 4 in a row, that they are not championship material this year. Derrick Rose can't do it all himself, he needs a better supporting cast. The Heat exposed the Bulls and did a great job containing Rose.
It's gonna be a good series. I'll take the Heat in 7
at some point it just seems like the three-headed egomaniac is gonna be taken down a notch by the basketball gods. i think dirk and kidd will play a wise series and the mavs defy the talent odds and win in 6. on paper, miami's an obvious choice, but i've got a gut feeling about the mavs. 30 & 10 for dirk.
The Mavs in 6, they are a complete team. They execute well on offense on both ends of the floor, and they can beat you in so many ways. I think their depth and height will be too much for Heat. Both of these teams have been equally efficient in the 4th quarter, and they have similarly unstoppable forces to compete with down the stretch. It's going to be a helluva series.
Anyone who thinks NBA games are fixed is suffering from paranonia. No ref can control the bounce of the ball and last second shots. Anyway;
J Kidd/Terry - D Wade/Bibby = Advantage Miami
Marion/Stevenson- Lebron = Advantage Miami
Dirk- Bosh/Haslem = Equal
Chandler/Haywood- Bosh/Anthony = Advanatge Miami
Bench = Dallas
Wild card Barrea
Miami in 6. Miami matches up better, thier defense on Dirk, Kidd, Terry will stifle scoring. If Dallas had a scoring center they would be in a much better postion. Chandler needs to do major work. Dirk will have trouble scoring believe it or not. He probably averages 18-20 <50%.
Im pulling for Dallas

They can control foul shots and give one team a ridiculous amount of free throws by calling stupid fouls. That is how an NBA game is fixed.

A ref can control the by continually calling fouls when a player wasn't touched. After game 5 when everyone pointed out how one-sided the calls were for Miami the refs upped it up a notch and made it ridiculous.
So, we have this series again.
Fact of the matter is, the 2006 series is famous for the officiating.
It ALWAYS gets brought up when people talk about NBA officiating.
I went into the series pulling for Miami and was really impressed with Dwyane Wade's performance. But it really looked like he got every single call in his favor and became untouchable while they were able to closely defend the Mavs without a whistle.
Miami still may have been the better team but the impression was that they were assisted. No one can deny that that particular series gets metioned a lot.
This year:
There are a lot of people rooting against Lebron James.
So I think that the Mavs are the sentimental favorite for the general public for the dislike of Lebron and for what happened in 2006. Maybe they may even get some calls their way. I saw Lebron actually get called for an offensive foul the other night in the last two minutes of a close game.
I am rooting for the Mavs. It would be good for their organization and sticking with Dirk all of these years and I think it would be good for the league.
But I think the Heat will win. They have a stifling defense and have shown very consistantly these playoffs that they can finish games.
I'm going with Dallas.
They already showed they can crush a team with all stars (lakers) & last series showed they can be clutch & rally at the end.
One of the problems with the NBA today is all the whining and complaining about officiating. It must make the old timers sick to their stomach.
Also, the regular season means nothing. The Bulls swept the Heat during the regular season. That didn't seem to matter. The Heat are on a different level rate now.
Lets face it, the Heat are the better team. They have more offensive firepower and are rate now a much better defensive team.
Lets compare the two teams.
The Heat
Because of Lebrons size coupled with his skill he is the most dominate player in the NBA. Who on the mavs can guard him? By the way he has the ability to shut down anyone on the Mavs.
D-wade is one of the most explosive guards in the league. Who on the Mavs can guard him?
Bosh is a all-star big man who is playing some of his best basketball. Who on the Mavs can guard him?
The roles players are staying out of the way. Which is what they should do.
Most importantly, despite the egos they are playing extremely well together. The Thunder are an example of a extremely talented team that has ego problems, which was part of their demise.
The Mavs
Dirty Dirk is a modern day Larry Bird without the toughness. Bird had the toughness and the role players to win some championships against the Lakers in the 80's. Dirk has the talent but won't be able to out will the more talented team.
Jason Kidd is good but old!!!! Which will be most evident in this series when D-wade eats him alive
Lets face it, the rest of the team is ok but really won't make a difference.
Hate to say it, but I think Butler and Beaubois would have been the X factor here. Without them, the small chance the Mavs had is gone.
Kind of sad, Miami will officially buy a championship.

The referees have more influence in the NBA than any other professional sport, which makes it a choreographed joke. Heck, they've been busted for betting on games before. And, yes, the stars always get the calls, especially at home.
It is true, however, that the players have to make the shots, either from the free throw line or at the end of the game. LeBron sucks, but Mark Cuban sucks more. Hopefully Cuban starts a brawl on the floor. That would be the only way this series would be worth watching. I wonder if he will be sitting courtside next to Charlie Sheen?
I'm rooting for Vancouver, and thankfully, the NHL finals will overlap some of this other garbage.

The Lakers were an OLD team and the Mavs took advantage of an inexperienced Oklahoma team. I predict another Finals loss for loudmouth Mark Cuban and his Mavs.
I'm from Dallas and a die hard Mavs fan. My room mate is from Miami and is a die hard Heat fan. Once he took his talents to south beach I told him. "watch Miami vs Mavs finals this year and the Mavs will lose cause the world hates dallas" 2000 Dallas Stars loses the stanley cup, 2006 Mavs Loses the Finals, 2010 Texas Rangers Lose the World Series, And FC Dallas Loses whatever gay championship there is in that crappy soccer league in 2010. The last championshpi was 1999 Dallas Stars.. I wish I could see another Parade Route but Free agency came a one year to early...
But I thought the Dallas Cowboys were "America's team?" Well done on your prediction thus far.
