Rupp in USA 3k Championships this weekend

I feel bad for the human lives that are gone due to this freak disaster.

Honestly who cares, people died as in not rigging at the end of race, DIED. Racing is a distant 3rd in priority here.

I wonder if Salazar will design a workout around this race to simulate the effort he would have expended over 10,000m in Christchurch. The altitude factor might make that difficult.

Yes? Do you live in a hole? The 10k was to be the culmination of his indoor season. He then will take 2 weeks off and rebuild for the world championships. 2 distinct seasons. Think before you speak.

The "two distinct seasons" thing is more of a training concept that Salazar is employing. Yeah, there is an indoor season and then an outdoor. But I think in general for the common fan a season is the entire year and that is how you should be using the word. Sure, its unfortunate that this race will not be run. But to feel bad for Rupp is ridiculous. He doesn't feel that bad about it so you shouldn't either.

No. A season is that season. Such as the cross country season, indoor season and outdoor season. In college they have 2 or 3 defined seasons. The pros usually just have one. Galen is essentially doing the college style.
