Stern sidekick to try her luck at the New York Marathon.

But on da other hand, without a gun they can't get none
So don't let it be a black and a white one
Cuz they slam ya down to the street top
Black police selling out for the white cop
Ice Cube will swarm
On any muthahumpa in da blue uniform
Just cuz I'm from the CPT, punk police are afraid of me
A young african american on a warpath
And when I'm finished, it's gonna be a bloodbath
Of cops, smiling in LA
Yo Dre, I got sometin to say
She would be better at Hot Dog eating contest.
Is that Stern guy still on the radio? I haven't heard his show in years.
On Sirius since '05. Better than ever...tho his contract is up at the end of this year.
Running a marathon isn't like a lottery or a game of craps. "try her luck"???!
More importantly, though, how close will she come to the Oprah standard?
Not the least bit entertaining. Lang was right to attempt suicide.
Robin Quivers in a marathon?
She wouldn't even break six hours.
His is the only radio show I can listen to.Many polls/studies have shown that howard has the most educated audience among any major radio program. I guess you don't quite get it.

There's nothing to "get" with Stern. It's all so bleak and crass and low rent, and yeah, misogynist in groundbreaking ways.
I kissed a girl last night!
I find it entertaining and in some ways informational. Good stress relief for the commute and much more tolerable than the political drivel on nightly prime time TV.
Quivers is an interesting talent. At first you have to cringe and wonder why she puts up with the crap she does. After awhile you realize she can play the game just like the boys.
Say what you'd like, Howard is truly the King of All Media.
Shaq said she had "ass everywhere"

So much for an educated audience....

Said the man who responds to a Howard Stern post on Lets Run....by the way, anybody know what her time was?

Can you show those studies? And no, the ones Sterm did don't count. I don't know a single person who listens to NPR that does not have at least a masters degree. But that's just me.
Found it...her time was 6:09 with a little over 2 hours for the last 10km!
I have undergrad and grad degrees from two USNWR schools - lots of academic honors at both.
I listen to Howard Stern. There is no better entertainer on the radio. His gross stuff - don't always listen. But he is a compelling and dead on honest interviewer, with a unique talent of letting oddball personalities express themselves, giving workaday listeners an insight to worlds we would never otherwise experience.
I listen to NPR, too - they do cover topics others don't. The problem is, of course, that one can virtually guess how their news stories will complete after hearing the first 10 seconds - they are that predictable. It is OK if you like to stay entirely within their intellectual echo chamber - it frankly gets monotonous.
Yes, but why does she quiver?
Robin said she did a 25 miler in training. WTF?
Beth O did the NYC marathon in under 4 hours a few years ago. That's not too bad.
Sincerely,
Loyal Stern Show and NPR Listener with a Master's Degree
