Solinsky is pumped and sounds keen to get into a fast 5K on home soil. Race promoter expects to land Bekele and other top africans - no doubt other top ranked US athletes will be lining up to join, with the exception of Rupp. Who else could we see in this from US along with CS?
If this is all true, should be a great race. sub 13 would be real fast this early. cant wait

Kenny B will win if he runs. 26:59 does not automatically mean Solinsky will run sub 13:00. Kenny B can actually kick of of a 13:00 flat pace. Remember he's run the 2nd half of a 10k at sub 13 pace.

They changed the date cause Pre Classic is now part of the IAAF Diamond League Series
weather - bigggggg factor when its during the day in July. at least I always recall this race being run during the daytime.

Do you know something we don't because that's Rupps home track where he was most intent upon breaking the 10K AR and I doubt he'd like nothing more than a little home turf redemtion.
Pre is a DL TV meet you retard. People only run for appearance fees. They could care less if the meet were held in Kabul, Pyongyang, Teheran, Tel Aviv, Bagdhad, Moscow, or some other facist capitol with more political prisoners than citizens.
Solinski is not running, Rupp is not running. Kennedy would have run because he had nothing to hide and because that is what clean fast runners do, run fast 5K's to cash in on super fitness, possibly win million dollar golden league jackpots. Nope, instead of a quick $16,000 for a 13 minute run plus who knows how much more in appearance fees, Solinski and Rupp will be hidden away behind Oregon project headquarter walls. The recent stud Americans are the most reclusive fast dudes since Viren and the Finns.
Solinsky clearly states in his post race interview that the Pre 5K is his main focus this year. He will be running.

Rupp has gone to WCs/Olympics for the last 4 years which has drug testing. He has dopped 12 seconds from his 5000m last year, and 4 this year shortly before the drug tested WC Indoors. This year he PRed in the WC 3000m, after a prelim, in a championship race.
"Hmm, I've taken 18 secs off my 5k, but I need to drop 21 secs off my obsolete 10k PR to get the AR. Common sense, says I'm good for about a 36 second drop off my 10k, which is why Nike is so confident, but I better start doping right after WC Indoor and then make sure avoid Prefontaine. I'm going to have do without that $16k, and somehow make do with my $300k base salary."
